necro.... this is my battery solution for the RS Type 97 - repost from my home forums the realsword type 97 is one of the better airsoft guns i have had yet, but the main letdown is the battery capacity. you can either get the funky 3 piece nunchuck from RS ( i got one and i cannot figure out how to put it in) or a 11.1v 1100 mah stick (a bit of a rip @49bux from ASGC). but to me thats simply not enough, so it was off to hobby city i go. i spend waay too much time on the website with the measurements and finally found one that would fit, the turnigy nano-tech 7.4v 950mah and so i order

yeah i found them on the local equivalent of ebay, called trademe, some importer was gonna start a shop but never did so started flogging them off (at a huge loss too i might imagine??) and had a few guns listed at one stage, though the WA's were the only ones of any interest to me on a related note, i have managed to make some flow restrictors for them!!

a few places still has them, GNG, ehobby both have them, though in silver only, and in 33rd, so its for the 5.1 instead?? anyone got the dimensions (ID, OD, thickness) on an AI flow restrictor?? just to keep things on topic...

just picked up two of my new ones, got them for NZD130 each which is about USD95, brand new still in box and everything so i m happy

yeah the one thing the new zealand army gear is actually good for is carrying ridiculous amount of mags, not as extreme in real life with 30rd as opposed to 300rd mags i guess. with the vest i can get 3x m4 mags per small pouch, or 2x AUG/G36 mags so thats 21x m4 mags or 14x other mags. the top right pouch has been removed by the previous user to help with shouldering since its in that annoying spot if you have that pouch full. i picked up that vest for 50 bux which if you do the maths is like 15 pounds lol
