The description is a bit overdramatic though. "helicopter is put in danger"... Really? Since when can helicopters be taken down with beams of light?

When the pilot is blinded and loses control? That's the danger with them.

The optics are so good the operator is able to describe to the dude on the ground exactly which person it was, what he's wearing, that he chucked something when the police arrived etc. Very impressive, as a cop that's exactly the air support you'd want.

"Yeah Dave, there is this urm bloke with a laser thingy, he's wearing a hoodie and that's about it" is how I would imagine some of them work. Glad to see they all don't .
