  1. This is dangerous ground but you have to admit that most stereotypes are there for a reason. Whether the reason for it is archaic and the people in question have moved on or the stereotype is based on propaganda and made up. There is always a reason though. Groups of people adopt behaviours just as they adopt gestures, facial expressions and accents. Those behaviours give rise to stereotypes.
  2. Looks like a thing for automatically opening your reserve parrot chute should you be plummeting.
  3. KO4, inlet manifold, fuel rail, fuel pressure valve, possible fuel pump, down pipe, exhaust manifold and a few other bits. Not as cheap and easy as I thought but you can get closer to 300bhp with a really good map. The AUQ 180 bhp engine can do 230 easily with just a map and a filter and very nearly 250 if you are prepared to have a really peaky map and shorten the life of your turbo with too much boost pressure...
  4. No, but I am in the process of acquiring some kydex sheeting to make my own. I currently stuff it down the back of a mag pouch but I want inverted on my left shoulder strap... *edit* Spoolong
  5. I've got the air-pack, it's lighter weight and I've had it for 10 years. It hasn't gone wrong, other than the cuffs and the zip, and the zip only failed last week. Brilliant piece of kit.
  6. I love my spydercard too, I also have their bram frank knife too. I have the Cold Steel Kukri and a rubber recon tanto for airsoft. All fun and games.
  7. Might as well since the gearbox will be off for the torque biasing diff and it will save me doing it later. The new clutch will easily handle the 300bhp I'm aiming for. The new flywheel is single mass so it will spool up quicker than the current heavy old worn out dual mass one. The only slight cost is a little bit of noise and roughness at tickover. I get that from the engine mounts and dogbone bushes anyway. The short shifter is a nice unit but it looks like a Transformer's cock so I will try to put the original knob and leather gaiter on it to "stealth" it up.
  8. Hmmm What a good idea, I think I will tint the back windows, tail lights and headlights. I have now fitted: Rear anti-roll bar, front anti-roll bar from a MKIV Golf R32, steering rack from an Audi S3, all round Poly bushes, Audi S3 upper and lower strut braces and a full set of lowering coilovers. I have replaced the brakes and the tyres, powder coated the wheels and fixed the aircon and a few other niggles. It is in the garage and when I get it back it will have a G60 flywheel, Sachs clutch, a short shifter and a Quaife ATB diff. Brill. er, I have spent a
  9. Do you have a TMP? Can you do a side-by-side photo? It looks like the rear of the receiver is longer than the TMP, I get the feeling that there is more space behind the bolt... It looks good though, I can't wait to get my hands on it, I am going to switch the muzzles over so I can use my existing silencer, I have a prototype steel one. I might even switch the blowback engine out for my V1 setup, I have a load of mags for that system.
  10. I have a set of these and mine have the loud noise cutout feature that makes them into a useful set of ear-defs. It might not be a quoted feature but mine do do it.
  11. Would someone please tell me if they know where I can get a Systema steel outer barrel for the G3 it is part number Z-10-10. I am desperate for it, or any steel G3 barrel with 14mm -ve thread on it, as far as I know it is the only one though.
  12. Don't call it an A3 too loudly, Hed' will get upset. Welcome friend, I hope you enjoy your time here.
  13. Here we go, I got it because when I got out the army we only needed one car and my mrs wanted to keep her bloody horrible 1.3 N reg ford fiesta. I hated that car but it has finally died. So, the new car, we needed it in a hurry to get up to Scotland for my Gran's 90th so I was able to convince the wife to let me have this. It is a 2001 Skoda Octavia vRS. It's a 1.8 20v Turbo, nice bullet proof engine that has lots of tuning potential. When I got it the front suspension needed new coils and the head unit didn't fit, the heated rear window was constantly on and the air-con was
  14. Yes they do and it is very nice, one deliberate mis-spelling for intellectual property reasons. Took months for it to arrive though.
  15. It looks like an american forum, I can't work it and am frightened. Is it staying like this or is it just broken?
  16. If anyone has a safariland 6004 for a sig p226 with an insight M6 that they would like to sell I'll be all over it. Thank you all.
  17. Yeah, I use them if I live long enough. It is a total pain carrying that many mags though. I have shoulder holster for the detonics, a serpa for the 1911, a dropleg nylon holster for the 226 and a lot of mag pouches. Every now and then I can get through all the mags before I die but I usually don't. The Detonics are nearly finished, I just need stainless steel mag catches, safeties and slide stops but they will cost about £170 so I am going to have to wait them out. The 1911 has a cut down and pinned grip safety so it has the same profile as the frame and I made up a full le
  18. Got a bit of a group shot going, please excuse the P226.
  19. My Alt-Berg Peacekeepers and my wife's sexy shoes.
  20. The TA is the SAS... Saturdays and Sundays. Also, I didn't mean any offence, the TA has some lovely people in it.
  21. Mine is. I have had a couple of weird comments on my video of my room on YouTube. Put them down in the usual way but still, there are some oxygen thieves out there...
  22. Yeah, my Tanaka required some pretty extreme mods to make it skirmishable and I am going to have to go even more extreme to get it to run buckshot shells. Also, be careful putting CO2 in the Airsoft Surgeon shells. They can handle a little squirt of CO2 but don't fill them up, they seem not to be designed for it. I filled one of the super magnum shells with CO2 and as I put it down on the table (gently) it went off with such force that part of the casing snapped off. Also, an 18" Tanaka was doing 700fps with CO2 in a super magnum shell so they are useless in the UK.
  23. Turned down a TM compatible Nine Ball Dyna piston head in my lathe. And From my cold, dead, hand. You know though, that having done the work to the Tanaka, it is now bloody marvelous. A million times better than any other shotgun out there. Skirmish wise, I always think of the tri-shot shotguns as the ultimate backup/occasional skirmish gun. The Tanaka has a few failings but with the buckshot rounds it will be close to perfect. The Tanaka Browning MKIII I had needed a lot of work but it is good now and their revolvers are a paragon of the airsoft skirm
