I've seen an ARL with a slotted shaft-end, can't remember what it was in though I've not had a real problem assembling a gearbox, certainly not due to the ARL at least. I find triggers are more hassle on some guns. I turn the gears so one of the bevel gear's ratchet teeth is pushing against the ARL, which usually holds it in place pretty well. It also helps to put a slight chamfer on the entrance to the ARL's shaft hole in the gearbox r/h shell to help feed it into place. Some gearboxes have that done already, if not you can do it yourself with a countersink bit or deburring tool. Link to post Share on other sites
