Fatal
Ones a plate carrier, ones a full armor carrier... That's like asking, which will let my hair blow in the wind more, a convertible or a armored tank?
Kunlun
Looking good Robinio! How's the position of that serpa holster? I'm planning to put it at the exact same spot Easy/quick draw? Any cons perhaps?
Robinio
For me, it feels nice, but if you have magpuls for your MP5/SMG mags it might be a bit hard to draw the magazines, but otherwise, it feels nice having the pistol there. For the holster, it is easy to draw, but don't put your pistol too close to your arm, you might have a problem shouldering your rifle/gun, but for me, I have no problem having a SMG to be shouldered. Â btw, the vest weighs about 10 kg with out any fake sapi plats, it might not look much but I got about 5 literes of stuff in the 3 large pouches. Â Only problem is that my camelbak is not molle compatible.
Skarclaw
I imagine that if you were to fall down a hill wearing that you would start rolling and before you know it, enter a state of like, ever increasing inertia or something. For cqb its probably pretty bitchin though. In regards to camelback, use the D rings, cable ties and maybe some cord and you'd be able to cinch it down pretty well. May as well try it, you can get cableties with change you find in the back of sofas.

Robinio
Ok, Since I've tested my rig, it felt very clumsy. so I took off some pouches, put 2 of them on the back with paracord and I now have good space in the font. Â Â

sierra hotel
Could anyone tell me if this hydration carrier:  http://www.skdtac.com/CamelBak_Ambush_AB_500_Hydration_Pack_p/cbk.506.htm  would be compatible to connect via MOLLE to a HSGI Weesatch?
Kunlun
Does anyone know if someone else sells dual bungee strap retainers because SKDtac charges a lot for shipping?  http://www.skdtac.com/SKD_Dual_Bungee_Retainer_Wasatch_Weesatch_p/ess.535.htm   I'd need like 4-5 of them and the shipping is even higher than the item value Or am I forced to buy them at SKDtac? sigmaboy
This thread needs a revival. the newest evolution of weesatch. Â Â Â
aznriptide859
Nice setup. What are you using to keep the mags in?
sigmaboy
friction and keeping the vest fairly snug. i've never had a problem with them falling out. i hated the velcro flaps, they killed my reload time. i've thought about ordering the bungee straps, but i've had no problems without the flaps. sigma3
What's all that paracord up to?
aznriptide859
You could use internal kydex flaps, that's what I use.
sigmaboy
What's all that paracord up to? Â the paracord that runs over the shoulders and meets in the middle? it's my sling setup, a ghetto Y-harness if you will. it distributes the weight of the gun throughout the whole vest as opposed to just around your neck. FlyingPenguin
Question... has anyone run a battle belt with a wasatch? or just a duty belt? i'm thinking of a better way to handle holsters/subloads without using my actual pants belt, as that's a pain anyway.
kojak
Yes, done both. Started with an ATS war belt and suspenders, then switched to a EMDOM duty belt with just the sidearm and dump pouch.
FlyingPenguin
Which did you prefer? I want to keep it pretty low drag and i won't have too much on the belt, mainly just looking for a support for my sidearm/dump.
kojak
I haven't used my battle belt in a long time. You should start out with the duty belt and see how you like it.
