MrBond
Btw, since we often hear people complaining about customer service, I just wanted to share the opposite. I wrote to eHobbyAsia asking for a compensation because of the illumination problem on my scope and after requesting I take pics of it, they sent me back a 25 USD$ coupon for a futur purchase, all this 3 days after I received it. Kudos to eHobby, it's great to see a company that likes to keep their customers happy.
Mr. Blue
Got to meet up with a benefactor last night at the machine shop. Suprise Suprise in his trunk, a recently CA-legal converted SVD. Got a chance to play with it = OMG A few Comparisons between the A&K SVD and a Norinco NDM-86 NDM-86 AtoZ with A&K Body King Arms SVD Handguard comparison... The real ones have a slimmer profile and thicker cross section. Feel very good in the hands. This one is very blonde. NDM-86 stock vs AtoZ... The real one is again thinner in profile, feels really good in hand. More solid and heavier. Shallower grip angle, very slight but you can feel it. Blonde. Receiver Comparisons. Russian Nightscope on the King arms. Does work but recticle is slightly askew. General Observations... Not bad for a $200 gun vs the $6500 real thing ( ok, its chinese, but thats better than a psl). The receiver on the airsoft one is heaver than the real one, as well as the top cover. Only small differences in terms of curves on the rear stock. Real trigger group fits into the A&K/KA body... So, why were so many SVD's housed in a small machine shop? My benefactor and I want GBB Svd's...
Horsem4n
So, why were so many SVD's housed in a small machine shop? My benefactor and I want GBB Svd's... do it... then email G&P with a video and text just saying "hahahahaha".
MrBond
Just got the A&K metal lowcaps... good quality, quite a bargain at 10$ a pop...
Mr. Blue
Your telling me! haha. my buddies and I did a group buy and ordered 12 of them Currently awaiting customs. Can't wait til they arrive!
Hybriden
Got two low-caps last week. Works just fine in my AtoZ, guess it would work good in A&K aswell. Decent quallity, one of them had a loose bottom plate but it was a easy fix, just some good'ol bending
LeeBristolAirsoft
At the end of the day, spring dragunovs are murderous, would be like having a spring m4, its just not right.
Horsem4n
at the end of the day, the real dragunov has a switch on the gas block that allows the gun to be fired in a bolt action method. it increases shot to shot consistency. so a springer SVD isn't totally unrealistic. Mr. Blue
Wwll, the mags are in.... they are so authentic, some have spot rust forming! hahha all an all a good buy at 15 a pop ( averaged out shipping ) the gap in the rear of the magazine is on my mind though. about the right size for a magazine valve....
Horsem4n
eww gas in mag? can you do something where i don't have to change the line over from magazine to magazine? maybe utilize the space between the mag catch and trigger guard to have a gas line? cause i would want to use a high cap as i don't like to carry around extra mags. its just a suggestion. EDIT: actually, i was thinking more into this and i have a probable idea for something that can use a gas magazine or external power. if you want to hear it, let me know. ill probably draw up a rough diagram of it. Mr. Blue
Oh, I fully intend to do an externally powered setup, but the looks and stamping of the magazine leads me to believe A&K or someone intended to keep a gap there for future reasons. Myself, I loathe GIM guns in anything larger than an SMG...
EOL
Here is my A&K svd with A&K´s laminated wood and metal low cap mag. Sorry if i post a pic here too.
PoleCat
EOL, i have almost the same setup, il post pictures later on, only diffrence is that i have battle axe wood kit. But i have a question about the scope, you have the same scope as I, but mine wont zero in, its aiming like 4 scope dots to high, so i have to use the lowest dot in the scope. You know how to zero in that perticular scope ?, on real POSP scopes you can loosen some screwes and thus zero the scope. But on this replica, those arent there, so how do i do that ? its really frustrating. Are yours the same ?
Hybriden
I've heard alot of people having the same problem, don't think you can fix it. Maby if you take the whole scope apart..
Horsem4n
that wouldn't be a bad idea if you know how to. its not like they even begin to try to fill them with gas, thats the only reason not to disassemble a real one, other than the fact that they work more often out of the box. you'll get the chance to clean it up too. EOL
Hello! The scope on my was easy to zero and now i use the middle dot. I use the economy ver scope from UNCompany.
PoleCat
Well mine wont zero in, it moves perfectly up and down, but not down as much as it needs to, im wondering if im gona open up the scope and try to fix it, or just leave it be, now its pretty useless. Tinkerton
Just a quick note to say the G&P 80 degree hard hop rubbers work amazingly in these. http://www.airsoftglobal.com/product_info.php?products_id=12472 and they're brilliantly cheap!
Jack the Ripper
I have a problem with my A&K SVD, it shoots 2 or sometimes even 3! BB's at once.... And when i'm lucky it shoots just 1.... I'm no technical guy but what could be the problem?
