hitmanNo2
Could you not just hang a shotty on a bit of bungee cord under your arm or isn't this done anymore?
ardrummer292
Could you not just hang a shotty on a bit of bungee cord under your arm or isn't this done anymore? I'm sure it's still done, but it's definitely not my preferred method. I can't stand the constant swinging/bouncing/interference. As such, I think I'll make a dual purpose breaching shotgun/hoolie bar scabbard.

ardrummer292
Got my RAV finished. Please excuse the terrible cellphone pics. Breaching tools are a Blackhawk Special Operations model hoolie bar, Ruhl Tech 6lb expandable sledge, and a Cyma metal receiver M870.

ardrummer292
I got to run my new RAV for the first time this weekend. Clocks in at 40 pounds when fully loaded. I love it, but I hate it. I ran TF Black kit on Saturday, but there's only one pic of it. A few friends and I did a TF Knight-style kit on Sunday. Here's a few other pictures I failed to post before. DPM greenside and multicam recce kits.

ardrummer292
Photo dump from yesterday. My modern C8 CQB took a s*** that morning, so I had to use my older TF Black-era carbine. I know all the kits aren't 100% spot on, but I'd like to think they're pretty close. Pics courtesy of Ballahack Airsoft. Somewhat unrelated: I thought this guy's Pathfinder kit was pretty neat. The Pilgrim belt setup is super comfortable.
ardrummer292
Photo dump from this past Saturday. We ran a joint UK SAS/Aussie unit for a friend's going away weekend. Pics courtesy of Alex Willetts / Ballahack Airsoft.
Skarclaw
UKSF in Syria: looks like webbing and chest rigs are back (at least for the moment that pic was taken) cheers
titchikov
Is it just me or does it look like that gimpy has a supressor on it? I mean it's probably a dust cover but wouldn't that be great?
arne71
Hard to tell by that picture. What we know is that suppressors are used with the 7.62 Maximi. A year or two (rather two) ago there was a picture in Combat & Survival of a suppressed gimpy being trailed for the "green" army. Whatever came of those trials I don`t know...... abbadon101
What would be the advantage of having a can on a gimpy on a vehicle. I .ca understand using one on a maximi for foot ops but it seems a bit pointless on a top cover weapon.
sandstorm
Only one that comes to mind is that it doesn't stand out so much in low-light conditions. Sure, the oppo knows the vehicle is there, but without the muzzle flash they might not realize that the tyop cover gun is firing for a bit.

CaseSpartan
Looks like I'm past due to post a photo dump in this thread. I'll keep it brief. Hey Love the kit! I was wondering if you could share your source for camo, I'm looking to a similar kit. thanks

ardrummer292
I assume he's probably talking about DPM and DDPM. I get all that from the UK, since getting S95 pattern anything is difficult stateside.

ardrummer292
Ardrummer292 , cracking set up mate , really looking good , only negative I'd say is carry on with the Costa thumb on top ###### and the RSM will tear you a new one ! Lol Thanks for the compliment. UKSF kits are excellent in every way most US kits are not. Nothing pretty or shiny, just nasty ragged equipment that does the job. As for thumb-over-bore: old habits, my friend. To be fair, it's the best way to maintain control during recoil for quicker followup shots. I've got a few real firearms and drive them in this fashion. ardrummer292
Photo dump from 04 December, TF Black-style kits with varying levels of accuracy. I dumped the RAV (all 42 pounds of it) after the warmup games in favor of my lighter Kandahar PC/Arktis getup due to a brutal hangover. All photo credits to Ballahack Airsoft.
