Mathub
Well, the caspian frame seems to have caspian markings, don't know how they look though.

Classicx
Mathub that gun is so nice. Do you know if it's possible to attach a thumb safety on the right side of the Swat Custom II? I like the look of the Swat over the MARSOC but really wish it had ambi safetys (cause I'm lefty).
hitmanNo2
Yeah, you can
Classicx
so which specific parts besides the actual safety do you need to attach the right frame thumb safety to a Swat Custom?
hitmanNo2
Nothing.
primussucks
so do you just tuck the safty under the grip? on the right side?
hitmanNo2
An ambi-safety is made up of two parts, and they simply connect and lock into each other inside the gun, so when you operate either side, the safety moves.
phoenix360mute
but you would need ambi-cut grips, which have a small cut in them to allow the safety to move
Classicx
aww really? So I can't use the black grips on the Swat Custom? I love those grips. Anyways, does any retailer sell a right thumb safety?
hitmanNo2
No, you will have to buy an ambi safety (both parts) as the current single safety cannot lock with a right safety.
phoenix360mute
it due to the guns internals, they need the safetly to be on the left to make it work properly
Classicx
Ok, I see. So where can I buy an ambi safety that will fit on the Swat Custom II?

sturgis
Ask, and thou shall(possibly) get(read:see) the original ! SCW2 Western Arms M1911 U.S. Army, bought as a fixer upper from wildXIII (cheers man), as the slide is broken near the barrer bushing. had a little more time to fiddle with the thing, and strapped some ductape round the slide, so i could shoot it without things flying where they shouldn't wow... i love this thing ! it's heavy ! heavier then my compact, on justpistol.co.uk they mentioned it was about a good 100 grams heavier then other models, and you can feel it good also, just had a little shoot with it, and wow, this thing kicks like a mule "recoil" feels alot harder then my other SCW2 Shame the lanyard loop got knackered pritty good during transport though it's bent forward at almost 45 degrees Edited August 18, 2006 by sturgis
Classicx
Lithium you sure WGC shop carries ambi-safeties? I looked but couldnt find anything.
