gazchap
Bloody hell, they're really limiting their potential entries with that resolution limit. 3000 x 2400? My 6.1mp dSLR only does 3008 x 2000!
Illuminati
lol yea you'd need a damn nice cam to take part, thats 90% of the UK airsoft market out then
bjorn
Nope, not 90%, more like 98-99% Well it is clear that they want pics from Japan and such cause cams with that high quality are rather cheap over there and very common.
Cpt_Nemo
Bit of luck some company's are doing upto 16mB connections too cause i dare say the picture file wont be small at that resolution.
Wege
Yep.. there will go whatever cap your standard bandwidth had. ORRR you could just load them onto a disk, slip it into a drive at work, and then send em off? oo. that would not be nice would it...
Denihilator
Bloody hell, they're really limiting their potential entries with that resolution limit. 3000 x 2400? My 6.1mp dSLR only does 3008 x 2000! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What's the problem? You can print out your photos in a desired format and send them by mail.
Trasher
I got the photo gear, got the pics, but "Joyful memories & funny moments" is definitely not my cup of tea... Gunporn and action shots yes, merry go around no.
Titleist
I got the photo gear, got the pics, but "Joyful memories & funny moments" is definitely not my cup of tea... Gunporn and action shots yes, merry go around no. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly, I wouldn't waste my time, if this was gun porn or action shots I'd definitly give it a shot. Get it?! Shot like a camera, and shot like a try, it's a pun, oh yeah I rock!
clmwrx
The thread title excited me. The actual contents are a major letdown
scooberoo
If they put your picture in some stuff you don't like, you are screwed. You can't sue. LOL. Copyright issues, you will lose. If they make tons of money out of this, you get nothing. Just post here at Arnies, you'll be more famous. (or your money back guaranteed.)
gazchap
What's the problem? You can print out your photos in a desired format and send them by mail. Read it again. They want the photos in digital format only. You can mail it to them on CD but printing it out and sending it isn't going to be much good for them when it comes to putting it into their calendar! Maple-Leaf
I got the photo gear, got the pics, but "Joyful memories & funny moments" is definitely not my cup of tea... Totally depends on how you define "Joyful memories"..... hosing down a bunker full of opfor with my drum-mag-fed G3 mod is one of my most "joyful memories" from a skirmish. XenoBait
For those that aren't sure about their Camera, you're looking at a 7.2MP cam minimum. So yeah, that stuffs most of the uk. Maybe I'd be able to stick 4 photos together..... That said, If you weren't sure and you had a viable camera, I think I should look after it for you, just in case...
Sledge
Are they giving a 1911 to the winner? No. So why would I care? The fools.
Denihilator
Read it again. They want the photos in digital format only. As I understand it: * Digital Photos "or" * Photos in 3R or 4R You can mail it to them on CD but printing it out and sending it isn't going to be much good for them when it comes to putting it into their calendar! They will scan them for sure. There are plenty of good scanners available recently. Even my "midrange" Microtek 6100 scanner makes 6400x3200 dpi with 48-bit color depth. JCYC5
Oh dear. My D70 isn't good enough for this.

DarkLite
Son of a *badgeress*. I have a 6.0 Megapixel camera and that's just under. Alas, if I only had a high-res version of this:

They've got some dodgy formatting going on on the original article, makes it rather confusing It seems that the "Specifications" only state digital photos Even then though, scanning in a printed image will look ###### compared to the original photo, even with fairly high-end equipment
JCYC5
I HAVE A PICTURE JUST LIKE THAT. Mine looks more ridiculous, since I don't have a compensator on my M190... But the photo I have was taken with a crappy PnS...
FarEast
What camera would they be from?! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would be from my Olympus, One of the floating Marshalls was more than happy to take pics durring the games.
