Skarclaw
Battery storage may be a problem if they down that route, unless they did like the TM AK74m
Beast06
I'll wait for VFC's AKMS
Skarclaw
I thought they were only doing the AKM.
Puding
i believe they have both the akm and akms on there site
lordyeray
The metal finish seems good, looks like steel, i hope they hadn't used the magnesium receiver this time. And the wood looks pretty nice.
Magsz
Yeah, good observation. I wonder if they've started using steel. I know that besides the past problems with G&G's QC i wouldnt buy a G&G AK simply for the fact that i hate their receivers.
Angry
I wouldn't want a G&G AK simply for the fact that its a G&G.
PlasticMag
I wouldn't want a G&G AK simply for the fact that its a G&G. I've never seen an internally broken G&G AK. Their RK series is incredible.
my_plague_666
if G&G have bucked their ideas up and started using stamped steel and pinned construction i may consider this over the VFC... depending on price.
Beast06
I thought they were only doing the AKM. Nope, they're making an AKMS version as well. It will be out at the end of this year though, as they're wanting to concentrate on things like the AIMS first
dookieboy
if G&G have bucked their ideas up and started using stamped steel and pinned construction i may consider this over the VFC... depending on price. They look to be Stamped in this picture..BUT THEY DID HAVE PINNED construction before this... IMHO THIS FAILED. It loos to me like a fricken Inokatsu Copy, no Pins and the shittiest design for holding it together in the worls...set screws...I hope this isn't a release shot. >
my_plague_666
shame if they have indeed copied RMW. still, we've always got the good old VFC ... whenever the hell they decide to release it
dookieboy
Myplague, Hell YES we DO! I am saving right now for the VFC AIMS! Then convert it to full stock mabye
-Drake-
Hmm is it me or is the mag at a strange angle ?? Anyway its nice to see G&G going down the AK route again.
The Crunchy Bunny
*smashes head on table* Why'd I have to buy a CYMA so early. Grr.
Revenge Seeker
*points finger at TCB and laughs* I don't know, Grim's Ino. AKMs are amazing. I live for a daily stare at his pics.
dookieboy
*LOL's HARD AT RS* Okay, here is the deal with RMW and Inokatsu for those who don't/ can't afford one They are EFFEIN NICE, BUT the draw back is design. It has sh**y takedown, it is held togther by set screws. Now they are NICE, quality is CRAZY, and the collector's value [Atleast for mine being a dicontinued Guarder AKM]. Just sucks the design was bad for takedown and for support. I thought I would share for those who didn't know. Now I will soon convert my AKM to have RS takedown with ral ak parts. heheeh
my_plague_666
thats what's putting me off buying a RMW RPK, after seeing the trouble my friend has had with his DM kit (inok clone), i'll steer clear of grub screws.

Steyrkat
I like the compact style of the folding stock but I fear that it's going to break off easily like the other AKMS's. Anyone know if this is sturdy enough to withstand woodland use? And do 9.6V stick-types fit in there (and what cell size)?
dookieboy
Your new, but this is a News section. We here [most*] don't know sh*t about this new model. Sorry to ea your cookie but.. we don't knwo till someone gives up the scoop!
Revenge Seeker
People generally don't trust any type of airsoft AK stocks. Some of the guys in the AK picture thread switch their inokatsu stocks to RS (haha me ) stocks as well. I don't know, I like my wobbling Dboys stock...

And do 9.6V stick-types fit in there (and what cell size)? its not released yet, so we cant say for sure about the construction or battery capacity, but i recon a 9.6 stick should fit. as for 'the other AKMSs breaking' there's only one other AKMS and that is suposed to be very solid.
