  1. My team play as Nam era Aussies - this will be our beret badge for post game socials. This version is the prototype - the connecting threads will be absent on the final badge
  2. Guiness - Thanks a lot!! ST - you have PM
  3. Here's my latest build - a chopped Aussie 'B!tch' complete with another set of real SLR wood furniture and a green Australian carry handle
  4. Very nice pile of kit there CC, thanks for sharing! Wish I'd never sold my tropicals, however doubt I'd fit in them anymore.
  5. Time to come clean....the elite cap badge is nothing more than the.... Duke of Yorks Royal Military School. Yep merely a walty patch brat (oh the horror.) I "earned" the right to wear that badge after all the taunts from local Dover children, bad food, 8 years of *suitcasey* Dover weather other "hardships"...etc etc I do have my old TA beret, but I'd never wear that to go 'softing in. In fact I only dug out the school hat for some cheesey photos that were taken for a proposed website that never came to fruition. When I rarely play in DPM it's normally a black wool hat TBH. St
  6. LOL I don't fancy the Walten-Kommando hunting me down to my bunker... I spent eight years of my life 'earning' the right to wear that beret and cap-badge and therefore the right to play "toy guns" whilst wearing it And yes if anyone can spot the badge they get a cyber cookie...Hence my inverted commas about the word "earn."
  7. The KA was already wearing the wood when I purchased it. However I'm led to believe that it's a much easier job to fit the stock. However it will still need to be hollowed out as for my Star build. The pistol grips on both AEGs are the plastic ones that came with the rifle. They have just be filed down and painted to look like wood - the realgrip can't be hollowed out for the motor. Both the stock and pistol grip are covered in my projects thread if you are interested in finding out more.
  8. Star (Aussie/early Brit 3 hole) and KA (British fore grip) SLR fitted with genuine wood furniture & slings. ALL you ever add to need to an inch rifle And before... In the Project section of the boards I have a thread about the joys of fitting wood to a STAR L1a1 regards Red
  9. Ar$e I thought that might be the case...
  10. Do Crye still make the range vest? USed to have a repro one and liked it some much I'd love a real one...
  11. Cheers re the positive comment mate :D

  12. Thanks Grim I got VERY lucky with the 58 stuff - a chap I know off the forums sold me 2 SLR drop pouches and the E&E for about 30 quid!!!!! Had to do a bit of cleaning / restoration work on them though. One of the drop ammo pouches has been given to a team member - so the webbing in the pics consists of 1 x 58 Drop SLR ammo pouch with old style large FFD 1 x 44 Water bottle pouch with 58 patt bottle 1 x 58 Drop E&E pouch 1 x 44 Water bottle pouch with 58 Pattern bottle 1 x 58 Compass pouch 1 x 58 Utility pouch The above are all mounted on a 58 Yoke and belt with
  13. Schultz - looking very good mate! But I have to counter your ramapant 'Eastern-ness' (made up word of the day!) with some British grit
  14. Tempted to give you a neg point for your rampant PTWism
  15. My metal Sy 226 shot out it's pot metal inner barrel within a week. Replaced it with a plastic Marui outer barrel which dropped straight in. Works well with Marui mags too
  16. Wooah not seen one of those RS or AS in a lifetime!
  17. I've had all manner of holsters over the years ranging from flappy nasty cheap affairs to a Safariland for my Mk23 (nicest holster I've ever owned and FAR superior to the horrid mil spec cordura effort!!) I've been using the Blackhawk CQC's for a couple of years now and really rate them, I have one on a strike plate on my RAV. However it remains to be seen how it pans out in the woods - I may change my mind. And thanks lads for the compliaments re the webbing - I'm quite chuffed with it myself
  18. Why would you even click on that??????

  19. Cheers Angel - Once all the weight / length / balance issues are sorted I'll cable tie the pouches together on the inside to make the webbing more stable. Looking forward to giving it a good run out soon (work permitting!)
  20. Here's my PLCE influenced webbing... All genuine MC 1 x 'Contact Left' roll pin belt 2 x 'Contact Left' Ammo pouches 1 x Vanguard Yoke 2 x Tru Spec Canteen pouches 1 x PLCE utility pouch I got bored of trying to wear my RAV during woodland games so I decided to fall back on a variation of my 'old school' 58/44 pattern belt kit. All that remains is to add a small radio pouch and a few greeblies. This webbing will be generally worn with a MC Recce smock, Ops DA pants, cut down boonie and my 226 on a thigh mounted serpa - pics to follow Much more comfortable fo
  21. Here's my 'belt kit' in the traditional British sense of the term...
