Stuey
Hi everybody, I need to get a set of DPMs for Christmas so I don't have to keep hiring them to play, but I don't know where to buy them from. I found these on www.flecktarn.co.uk: http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/dpcfs1na.html http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/dpcft1na.html They seem to be fine and cost about what people say they should (£35 for shirt and trousers), so I can't see any reason not to get them - does anyone have any experience with Flecktarn? Also, I was wondering what the Bulle range of MOLLE gear (http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/productsus.html#tactical) is like. Again they seem to be OK (1000 denier Cordura and not dirt cheap) but I don't about the quality. Anyone got of it? Thanks.

iloveics
Yes flecktarn are a good retailer. Try looking on the forums or puting up a wanted ad in the sales section. You can get DPM on here so cheap.
0 armalite 0
I've never had a problem ordering from Flecktarn, they're a decent bunch when it comes to peace of mind after your order. On one occasion they sent me a picture of what they were sending me just so I knew they'd got it right! Also take note of iloveics, the forums sales section is a decent place to pick up great bargains. But you're going to need 100 posts to get in there so get active! it's a friendly forum and I haven't yet met anyone who wants trouble so you should merge quite quickly. Jaager
if you want DPM then have a look in your local surplus shop, it wil be a lot cheaper, and look for grade 1 stuff as it will be cheaper. also it would be better to get a DPM vest/webbing set/chest rig as american style MOLLE doesnt look good with DPM. if you go grade 1, from flecktarn then a used shirt £5 used pants £5 Trimmed boonie hat £6.50 used webbing £39.50 Total = £
caaw
Hi you can buy cheaper than flecktarn try looking here http://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/ they do some packages so you can get Three Piece Soldier 95 Suit Cadets Will Not Get A Better Deal Than This !!!!!! snowman
Blimey - £15 is pretty good. I bought some used DPMs from Flecktarn many moons again when I thought I might take up skirmishing and the pockets were full of dirt... I did kind of imagine they'd be cleaned before they were resold... Cheers.
Belladonna
yeah use flecy, get a used Combat jacket, and pants, thier great, and cheap, get a CJ rather than shirt, its harder wearing...
DazJW
I'd suggest going to a surplus shop. Then you can actually look at how faded/used each thing is instead of the luck of the draw approach online.
CaptWilkes777
You can always try ebay, cheap as dirt. Don't go for any US stuff. DPM shouldn't be plural, no 'DPMs'. Remember for a full loadout you'll want an olive green tee, belt and boots.

CobaltSky
Problem with surplus stores is that they can have variable service. For example the nearest store to me is terrible and all the gear is grade three or worse and they sell it for stupid prices, still people buy stuff there because they don't know better. For example, my mate went there when he was just getting into airsoft and bought a load of stuff. Spent £50 on a webbing set where the front clip was broken, of course he didn't know what it was supposed to be like and bought it anyway. So he had been saddled with a large heap of useless canvas. Flecktarn stuff on the other hand is always good quality and they will accept returns on faulty items.
Belladonna
felcy have different grades.... and tbh, you shouldnt care how faded it is... it looks more authentic when they dont look stores fresh remember your playing war, not parade and you dont NEED a belt, or od tee with dpm. tho i do recomend the 2 inch work belts, they dont come undone or slip. and most of my friends wore regemental tees, or just a greeny tee under thier combats, favourite was od hellyhansen tops... REALLY good, i have one of the short sleve ones, thier awesome. R
Stuey
Hi guys, Thanks for all the responses, this forum sure is a friendly place to come for advice. Right so Flecktarn is a good retailer and I shouldn't have any problems buying from them if I choose to. Jaager - I will check out my local surplus store but as CobaltSky said they can have quite variable service. Also, thanks for pointing out the used items - for £5.00 will they really be any good? caaw - Cheers for the link, like snowman says, that is good value and if you say you've had good service, that's good enough for me and I'll probably go with that or what Bella said. Belladonna - by combat jacket, you mean this - http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/dpccs1na.html? Is Flecktarn used OK? Stu

All Grade One kit, you can't even tell it isn't brand new. I was highly impressed as my mate who recommended flecktarn to me as he bought his from there paid more for Grade 2. Stuey
Huh? It says this on the website: "*ALL ITEMS OFFERED FOR SALE ON THIS WEBSITE ARE GRADE TWO*" Stu
CobaltSky
Which is why its priced so cheap. Flecktarn.co.uk sell grade 1 or new stuff, with the exception of some of the rarer items like the flackvest.
Belladonna
aye, thats the one, thier great, when i lost my issue one i snarfled one from flecy to replace it not paying stores prices! R
caaw
I must admit the smock and shirt where very good for grade 2 and the pants had a small amount of bobbling but for 15 im not complaining .
Stuey
Right guys I'm closer to making a decision now thanks. Do I need a shirt and a jacket? Because if I don't just buying a used jacket and trousers from Flecktarn actually comes out 50p cheaper than from British Military Surplus. I know there are postage costs but I'm buying some ammo from Flecktarn too because it's the cheapest place I can find for Excel ammo which I need to get anyway. Stu
caaw
Depends are you going to want to be warm? I know in the winter i like a thermal undershirt, shirt or norgie and then my jacket depends on what you like to wear and how you like to layer? I also like my shirt in the summer when its to hot for a jacket i just roll the sleeves up and bobs your mothers brother.
