Richard Y
cant see the upper selling much.. a lower.. maybe... when people break there but no one busts uppers.. well no one should I think they have millions of yen from sopmod parts sales and not enough ideas! Isamu
Someone should fire (literally) their marketing department and hire... ME!
kithooton
its about a smooth cycle of the system and having the power to do it, if your new to the gun your probbal running stock 8.4v bats .. they simply dont cut it not when compared to the high expectations people have or invision and aeg to perform like. Upgrade the packs to 9.6v and try again. The internal trigger fet in that vid is for normal version 2 only.. it wont fit the sopmod. Youll have to wait for a new version 2 version :/ 9.6v Could sort out the trigger response. Awesome! Is there? I thought there was a Mosfit or Something like it that does work on the Sopmod Platform. When saying about the New Version 2 Gear box, what will be different about it than the ones used in the Sopmod, Socom, CQB-R, Recce Platforms. Many Thanks.
elanaiba
The new gen version 2 gearbox IS the Sopmod/socom/etc. You may see reference to the Electronic Control Unit - which is basically a Mosfet designed to replace the trigger contacts and take no extra space outside the gearbox - for the new version 2. That's because the ECU version available now is just for old style Ver.2 guns (CA, Marui, G&P M16 etc) and a variant for our beloved Sopmods is being just now developed. Bastel
Can anybody say to me, where i can buy these sopmod caps for the battery?please. i want to built my own one.
Number5
I wouldn't mind one of those uppers if the price was a bit lower id snap it up! Would actually like a regular style upper, want to make a shorter barrelled upper setup so I can have a quick swap out feature from a longer m4 to shorter. ASPA's look good also. Richard, how much can you get the upper receivers for?
elanaiba
I'd like a regular non removable carry handle upper... but also might consider selling one of my uppers to buy a mur just for the heck of it
Richard Y
The uppers.. id just get the ones listed on firesupports site.. dont know where they got them from but they are dirt cheap.. 65 squids... bargain...
Bastel
@Richard. Will your shop get new stock tubes in the next time? Does anybody know if Parts from the Army R43 fits on the TM ?
arne71
I would not let parts from an Army R43 come anywhere near my TM Sopmods.
Isamu
I would not let parts from an Army R43 come anywhere near my TM Sopmods. externally the army is not bad at all, and for spares, its more than good, not to mention the price is not outrageous as the mur linked before :S
Richard Y
yeah r43 bits will fit.. Tm is charging crazy prices for this gun.. body prices are the worst if your going to have parts which break that ok but make the parts cheap to replace!
X-Man
Anyone have a gearbox picture of a front wired sopmod? I'm converting my CQBR to a front wired PEQ, and trying to figure out how to run the wires. Thanks
Richard Y
out the front hole in the gb, up past the hop on the side with the wire guide, through the hole in the barrel, usually they add some spades at this point to make front removal easy.
X-Man
any tricks to making it snug enough to avoid problems with the bolt catch? I've been lurking this forum for acouple weeks, prior to picking up the CQBR today, and I know that you are the SOPMOD expert Richard, so your help is appreciated
Richard Y
20awg..the smaller the wire the better.. Obviously your going to want as big a wire in there as poss, so try some 18awg, if ifs hard slog, as in too hard getting the bolt catch to work switch to 20awg i didnt have a problem, you see where to put the wire that doesnt obstruct the mag or mag catch or bolt catch.. I had one come in which had previously been done, but the wires where so tight when we put the upper back on it crimped the wires and we couldnt get the connectors apart on the lipo... we both dove for cover.. i ended up being able to break the connection at the wires becuases the mirco deans had fused together. On his i sanded the inner part of the upper reciever just where the wires where it allowed it to slide with a lot more ease.
