Kingmob3
Rifleman if what you're using is not the right size head over to a B&Q or equivalent and get a set of drifts. KM
LuckyPSD
Wolfen I am really liking the look of those with the white trades, did you paint them a different black or is that just how they came?
cyclone5uk
So I'm thinking of giving my G36C the Krylon treatment, this is what it will look like in theory: What do you guys think? Good idea? I know its really personal preference but some feedback from fellow G36ers would be nice...
Laxplayer19x93
It's opinion, if you like it, go for it. I personally think it looks horrid.
thunderhammer
my g36 will recieve similar treatment.. You wnat to tone down the colour a bit though, a darker green looks better.

[BS]_MARS
Dont do it. There is no point to paint a gun one solid color.
Domz
Hmm the whats painted/whats not combo looks good in principle yet it just doesnt look quite right, perhaps still too light on my screen. Id be tempted to go a very dark green or whatever combats you wear, pick one of those colours. Hard to say on a white background... hmm. Im keeping mine black for now... BP-anon
Don't do the stock pad. Other than that, it looks OK. That sort of thing (I think it was without the receiver, too) looks awesome in tan.
Kingmob3
Any of you have an idea of where I can pick up a CA C or SL(Preferred) rail cheap? I have not seen any in the classifieds lately, but one of you might have one you'd be willing to let go? Also, does any one happen to have the pics from this review? http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=19778 I'm looking for the ones for disassembly of the sight. Thanks, KM
cyclone5uk
Dont do it. There is no point to paint a gun one solid color. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, what was Fabrique Nationales thinking behind making the SCAR available in tan and OD then? Surely they must have had a point? cyclone5uk
Just need to add the silencer, then my look is complete (the OD paint scheme is still a big "maybe")

my_plague_666
you mean to say you cant see the different shades of tan? i also agree, i dont think having a solid OD gun provides much of an advantage, i say go all out and do a nice unique camo job (not your typical lines in woodland, do something like souske did with his M4) or leave it black
[BS]_MARS
uh, its tan... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. First of all the CA isn't anything like the real one so it's apples and oranges. If we're just focusing on the CA you'll notice when you look with your eyes that the stock is different from the upper receiver which is different from the lower receiver which is different from the grip and mag. My whole point about solid color guns being dump is that usually the point of adding color to a gun is to camouflage it. There are usually not too many solid blocks of color in nature which match the size and or shape of a gun. Now, if you're doing it just because you think it would look cool, ok. I however disagree and have done that same thing myself before.
binarypunisher
Might be just my eyes, but I see some black in there too.

However, it’s still the same base colour overall. My definition of "solid colour" means not camo. It’s not like there are greens and browns on there too. Just some very slight shade differences which are due to the manufacturing process, not any sort of design intention. Anyway, I’m feeling less inclined to make it all green now anyway - so it looks like it’ll stay black for the near future. Out of curiosity [bS]_MARS, do you find the OD FN SCAR ugly too? Also which gun did you paint before?

Levett
Woot, better scope extender, and i've now removed the harrid bipod, as it was getting in the way the majority of the time. I'll be installing a real steel folding bipod in the near future if i can source one =)
XaVierDK
This is a standard G36: This is pretty much what my rifle will look like once I get my shortened outer-barrel and K-style flash-hider... Quick and crude, but pretty much Note that the long front is still there... Best Regards Edited October 11, 2007 by XaVierDK

My vote is on the black. Edited October 11, 2007 by dstrctn
