kingdong
Thats the old one mate.
freon
Is anyone having problems with the gun no longer shooting in semi-auto or did I end up with a lemon?
kingdong
I think they where all lemons mate..
freon
HAHA! well, that now leads me to the question of whether I should refurbish it or not... *sigh* My external parts are currently on my KJW M4, which hasn't broke on me yet and I'm at about the 5,000 round point with it already. kingdong
Well I sort of learnt the hard way and realised that KJW and G&P is the only logical GBBr to buy.
freon
I completely scrapped my VFC MK18 and salvaged what parts I could. The receiver pins are really good. Was able to remove the front assembly, grip, sights, flash hider, and stock. Those went on to my KJW and it is now the envy of the field. Sadly, I have 7 VFC M4 magazines that I don't know what to do with... no leaks on any of them. Kingdong, go with KJW, you won't regret the decision. kullwarrior
Out of curiosity, is there anyway to find out what are the part number for the HK416 Stock assembly and Pistol grip? (Front sight flip up and rear sight set would also be nice) I'm really tempted to get a hk416 (probably WE for replacement part and compatiability with my other GBB) I don't want to spend $300+ to get those parts from hkparts and import it to Canada. Reppyboyo
Anyone know if the newer Umarex HK416 is improved over the old one? There are vids and pics of it appearing on various Asian sources seemingly acting as if its a totally new product. The replica looks gorgeous but are the internals still cheese metal? Amadem
VFC re-designed the Bolt Catch and Bolt Carrier Group.
NightPenguin
Yeah, as said by Reppyboyo , is the vfc/umarex hk416 released ? And it'll be nice to hear some news regarding hands on the gun (:
IronWolf
Can only comment on the new BCG, no signs of the cracks that the original design was plagued with.
Reppyboyo
Seriously tempted to pick one of these up. Only I don't know much about WA based gbbr's (always stuck to WE) so not sure what to expect performance & maintenance wise.
NightPenguin
Yeah, it looked so tempting ( honestly, comparing it to the WE HK416 ) , anybody know when is the release date?So far I've only saw that the WGC had them, cant find any other source though
Reppyboyo
Redwolf & Airsoft Global have them among others.
Finbarqs
yeah, really want a full blown review of this... Like what is the barrel made out of, built quality of the receivers, internals, etc. Better than the Iron Airsoft Kit?
LordElpus
Edit. Opps, senior moment. Edited January 4, 2012 by LordElpus
Reppyboyo
It would appear this one has been improved, hence the need for a new review.
gijohn2
External wise the Iron airsoft one is alot better
Finbarqs
Iron Airsoft Kit is exact?
M.B.Mathiasen
I doubt that the Iron Airsoft Kit is even close to being "exact", as compared to the VFC one.. As I recall the IA kit, didn't even vome with painted trades And as far as I can see on the pictures and videos of the "new" VFC, all the trades are correct - at least they are exactly the same as my old VFC AEG with correct trades (ableit the serial is different ofc - but starts with the correct 88-0xxxxx - Just as the real one ). The only thing I can see is wrong, is the dust cover wich seems to be made of plastic(and with umarex markings) - but that dosen't matter, as long as you can change it for the real deal
_akira
Please, we need a review of the "new" 416 GBBr from VFC/Umarex
bankz5152
Hey guys, its been a while since the release of this. Could anyone tell me how reliable it is internally? Or in comparsion to WE?
Cosmitz
After a long night that involved vodka and meandering with friends i ended up ordering and paying for the VFC. It'll arrive here next week since of course i payed for express shipping aswell. In retrospect... Not the worst drunk-purchase i made. So you'll have your pictures and reviews around Thursday/Friday. PS: Got it off Tokyomodel.com.hk if anyone's interested. Edited January 21, 2012 by Cosmitz

The only thing I can see is wrong, is the dust cover wich seems to be made of plastic(and with umarex markings) - but that dosen't matter, as long as you can change it for the real deal First off, a lot of the 2011 and beyond era HK416s and all the MR556 (US civi version) come with a plastic dustcover. Second off, there are only two major faults in regard to authenticity with the Iron Airsoft kit: (1.) The HK AF mark on the upper receiver should be white laser etch, not deeply engraved, (2.) like you mentioned, serial number does not begin as 88. It is annoying that the trades are not filled in from the factory, but it's fairly easy to do yourself and get the colors exactly right.
