Yes, in my analogy both activities have 'cars' speeding around a track....but past that point things get real different, real quick..... Kinda, until you get those GSG .22LR MP5s, mechbox and receiver made out of pot metal. Or howabouts to Umarex .22LR Mp5s where they basically took the VFC and turned it into a .22LR rifle? CaptCalvin Posted January 21, 2015 Report Share Posted January 21, 2015 Plenty of real steel AR receivers are made from 6061. 6061 does just fine for a lot of ar owners, while some may want to pay extra for insurance. Personally I'm never throwing my airsoft gun under a tank so 6061 is more than enough for me. Link to post Share on other sites
