New thing thats annoying me.

I went out on saturday night with the guys, and as guys are sometimes inclined to do, we somehow ended up in a strip club.

My other half is overthinking the bejesus out of it and wants to know what it "means".

It doesn't bloody mean anything. It wasn't planned. One of us suggested it, and the rest just agreed.

She is also completely dismissing the group dynamic as pathetic saying I should have just left at that point, like going home early is a thing you do when you're having a good time.

Shmook: I don't get that, it is part of your job to do it right? So I don't see why she would think anything else of it.

Scorch: You never thought you would hear it from me but she does have a bit of a point. It is still a live naked woman and the potential influence of alcohol though if you texted her before hand with the idea you could have got a better answer on how she would feel or could have at least mentioned it to the group?

Either way I know that the girl I am with isn't fussed about the idea on the understanding that I wouldn't be jealous of her being at a hen party with a naked male stripper. I can see both sides to the argument but I would also rather that I was with someone that knew I was open about the idea from both sides and knew I could trust them (not implying you can't trust her / she can't trust you but just generally).

Either way it reminds me that I haven't been to a strip club in about two years. Surely there must be a good few on a street somewhere in Edinburgh, all capital / big cities have them.

Was it 2 up? It could have been pulled, and the cop was recovering it back to the nick :)

No idea.  Passed it on the motorway going the other way.  Didn't get a good look really.

As for strip clubs in this country at least, I'm sure most SOs have nothing to worry about.  Some of the ones I've been to have been downright depressing.

So, that old laptop of mine, the one that has to stay attached to it's cord to keep running.  Yesterday the cord said "I'm done" and now if it moves a bit, the system just shuts off.  So, I had to go through the hassle of trying this spare laptop that was supposed to be for my dad.  He password protected it, and since he refused to give me the password, I could not get on it and set it up for myself without him ranting about how he could not handle windows 8.

Also, there was so much ###### loaded onto this thing, I thought it was created in the bowels of 4chan.  I am not even sure if I killed off everything I need to yet.

technowatchmacallits....

The closest I've gotten to a strip club was the casinos in Los Vegas and the years where the shot show exhibition employed "local" girls to attend booths.

Look at the speed camera/apr vans . Operated by civilians . Security company's nowAdays . . I have seen many times when the police have ignored traffic offences , traffic light begging / cleaners etc . Cyclists riding on pavements / jumping lights . Even though the offences are being blatantly commited in front of them .

I am just deAling with one of these police laziness cases with my insurance company . After I and several others got hit by a drunk driver after he caused mayhem and a few grands damage to 5 vehicles and got pulled out of his car , breath aliased and arrested. For drunk driving . The police have shut the case with no further action being taken . Even though there are 6 witnesses . Victims , camera and CCTV footage of his rampage !!

Its a joke nowadays !

Tell me about it. It was work, but she still wasn't happy...

As for Edinburgh strip clubs? Last time I went, every girl was RAF. we gave up after trying the 3rd club and went back drinking...

Well I have been told that you get the usual 'A' and 'Z' squads depending what time you go.

Plus one is more college / uni students trying to get through education than single mums so that would be preferable. :P

As for rant for the day, don't really have one. Work is fine, got indoor airsoft tomorrow (chance to rock out the PPK/S) and still part of the UK.

Only real thing to rant about is that I have to endure the new downstairs neighbours renovation of his flat but he only starts working on it after 9am and is often finishd up for the day way before I need to get some sleep so it isn't that bad, just wish they didn't do it in sparodic bursts. Oh that and having to hear my upstairs neighbours *fruitcage* last week at 1am was annoying bu it was only the once and knowing them they were probably drunk or high (the multitude of beer cans / wine bottles and the rare but faint smell of pot means I at least know something goes on up there).

Those civilians in high vis vest with speedguns.  Are they just logging peoples speeds for statistics?

That, and if you're speeding, you may, force dependent, get a letter in the post saying you've been naughty, and please don't do it again.

You won't get points or a fine. If there are a lot of speeders though, the camera van may turn up to slow everyone down for a bit :)

Excellent.  Thanks.  Luckily I wasn't speeding anyway, just intrigued.  It was just a bit of an odd place for them to be to be honest.  Just on a corner but I guess it's easier to go a bit over the limit on the approach on one side if you're not paying attention.

On an unmarked vehicle front - there's an unmarked white van around these 'ere parts. Looks like a standard Police van but they drive about with no markings, an LED display across the back windows for arrows/messages etc and blues lights under the grill..

It is N.Ireland though!

Do the civvies with speed guns need to be sanctioned? I saw a pair of nuppets* on the inside of a bend, speed gunning a 60mph zone. Every driver cheerfully cruising through slammed on their brakes regardless of speed clearly creating more hazard than someone driving through a large and clear bend.

On the unmarked police subject, the warehouse next door to where I work is an unmarked police depot.

They never have uniformed staff there, except the past 2 weeks when they've been receiving loads of stuff and have had help from support staff on site (the polo shirt wearing types, not the proper uniformed types)

I think it's an evidence store or something. They have had a walk in fridge installed and have loads of racking.

apparently if you a caught by a civilian speed gun they cant' do you as it is not considered primary evidence.

Here's a video of a civilian in a marked van,  watch the *fruitcage* squirm : http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f1d_1408132215

he should have never opened the door to the officers at the end. Speak through the window!!

Seen that vid too. The guy with the camera is a bellend, but the cops had no right to go and see him, and not to stick a foot in the door.

No one came out of that looking good.

Seems like those police officers could do with a little refresher course.  I'm sure they have to deal with difficult people all the time.  Simply removing her foot would have de-escalated the situation massively.

Yup - but bear in mind their #1 priority was to intimidate. They were actively escalating the situation and £10 says she was trying to stir him to physical means so the burly guy could step in and "subdue."
