Spedz
It's a shame they were pretty rare in England. I've only seen a hand full compaired to the RX8. I still like the Nissan 200sx myself (s13 of course) I forgot the 2 Do'h.

Spedz
Yeah hehehe. One of the more unfortuante events of me and a RX7 was some one was selling one for £1.5K Oh how I weeped. : (
Kipper
All time classic indeed. It was the best selling sports car Mazda ever produced. 1978-2002. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you sure its not the MX5.. theres millions of them on the roads or is that not classed as a sports car? garry
you sure its not the MX5.. theres millions of them on the roads or is that not classed as a sports car? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The MX5 is very ordinary to drive. I don't think it's a classic or anything special.

Spedz
I always presumed the Mx5 was a sipder rather then a sports car. Just like the Vaxhuals X220.

Connery
you sure its not the MX5.. theres millions of them on the roads or is that not classed as a sports car? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seeing as how the MX-5 has a Piston-driven engine rather than being a Rotary...you know...I highly doubt I'm mistaken. visionviper
I went on a test drive with my dad once with the BMW 325i, and the salesman there did the same thing as your Mazda salesman. God I wish he bought that car... He really wanted the 330 though, but he didn't get that one either. He chose to hold off on it.
richie_j
very good choice on the car. I would've said mazda, as there's a new civic out, so buying a n old shape type-r would have meant bigger depreciation. Also, the mazda has a wankel-rotary engine.
screamin_weasel
All time classic indeed. It was the best selling sports car Mazda ever produced. 1978-2002. Seeing as how the MX-5 has a Piston-driven engine rather than being a Rotary...you know...I highly doubt I'm mistaken. "best selling sports car mazda ever produced". well you didn't say it had to have the rotary engine in your first quote. so yeah perhaps you are mistaken. the RX7 may be the best selling rotary engine car, but how many models have ever been built with that engine ? i know nothing about cars by the way, just pointing out bits in your posts where you shoot yourself in the foot, for the benefit of others. he was right so in your first quote you claimed the RX7 the best selling Mazda ever - well you're wrong. like it says above the MX5 is. and R22 - that car is cool a *fruitcage*. R22Master
Cheers all Ooooh, I just found the Top Gear review of the RX-8 on-line. They seemed to quite like it hehehe http://www.gofastvideo.com/gallery/item/pr...-mazda-rx8.html
codename 47
They do and so do i. Viper what is your problem with Rx8s. I can see what your saying about the rx7 being a better sports car looking at the stats but if you wanted to get one now i recon the parts would cost an arm and a leg aka having to import etc. maybe a minivan would be a better choice But it wouldnt be half as fun would it now !!!!!!! Shut up. By 1990, a million RX-7s had been produced.
screamin_weasel
ok sorry. i don't write the Guinnes Book Of World Records. perhaps the dudes on that site you linked to do. they obviously don't consider the RX7 to be a sports car.
Connery
they obviously don't consider the RX7 to be a sports car. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The RX-7 is way more of a sports car than the Miata is. *fruitcage* 4-bangers pretending to be 'fast'... EDIT: Also, Top Gear drivers are pansies.
