I don't know... Forcing yourself to make up a name for each and every gun you own is a bit lame. But if the gun somehow justifies a nickname, why not. A general nickname for Famases is "Le Clairon", because it resembles a trombone.

 

I still call my springer Glock 30 "Narttu" (finnish for b*tch), and engraved it on the slide. One of the few female players back then used that name as a nick. Both of them were small and "spicy", hence the name.

well why do people name cars? its an anthropomorphic thing, people have done it for centuries.

personally i don't indulge but i don't see the harm in it.

 

though i would be peaved if a chap capped me with a gun called Talullah or something. cause then i'd have to throw a mk V down his pants.

only women name their cars.

as for naming my guns i left that to the manufacturers. its so much easyer asking someone to pass me my m15 than say "pass me betty" or some daft name like that

 

I can see you must charm all the girls in the night club :D

 

I name my guns, because it makes them personal to me.
