HaVoC Posted January 6, 2005 Report Share Posted January 6, 2005 I've been a fan of 24 since someone told me to buy the Season 1 DVD set ages ago. I did so, as an impulse buy, and loved it to bits. I then watched Season 2 on TV, and bought the DVD set upon release. I missed Season 3 on TV, and hadn't bought it. A week or so ago, I re-watched Season 1 over a couple of days, and now I've prompted myself to hand over hard-earned cash for the Season 3 DVD box set. And it's still brilliant (if not quite up to Season 1). Each season is 18 hours long (blame commercial breaks for it not being 24 hours long ). I've watched Season 1 twice, Season 2 once, and will soon have watched Season 3 once too. Season 4 starts this Saturday in the US (woo yay!). By the time I've watched all 4 Seasons, including a double-viewing of Season 1, it'll have eaten 90 hours of my life. 90 hours. Think of how much porn I could have downloaded in that time. I could have got drunk. But no, it was wiled away in front of some stupid TV show. To make matters worse, come the release of the Tokyo Marui P226 GBB, I'll be forced to make a full-metal two-tone replica of Jack Bauer's gun from the first 2 Seasons. Oops, there goes another £250. Why am I addicted? Why does it eat my life so? Why is it the only TV show I've ever actually cared about, bar Band of Brothers? So many questions, so little time. That would be an AWSOME airsoft project nad I may have to join you or beat you to it muahhaha. But yea my dad and I have Tivo set up for taping 24 on Sunday and Monday. I can't wait. doc_newstead Posted January 6, 2005 Report Share Posted January 6, 2005 I've never watched it (I've seen plenty of parodies of it though!), but my gf borrowed her brother's DVD of series 1 when she was ill once, and said she ended up sitting through about 8 hours of it! It certainly seems to get plenty of good reviews. I was just put off by the idea of having to watch 24 episodes; I have an incredibly short attenti.. ooh, a dog chasing it's tail! You can bottle real beer. But when I ask for a beer I expect a mug of warm beer, not a chilled bottle. You can can beer aswell, but only if it is to be poured into a beer mug before comsumption.
