zentaurus
Thought i'd bring this thread back up with 2 questions. The main one i have that is holding me back from buying the gun is if i can repair this gun like a normal high end gun. I mean that if/when something finally breaks, will i be able to find parts to fix it so that my money doesn't go to waste. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> parts from the mzen 96 fit. expensive !!! so a heads up for all l96 fans: aircraft aly sear housing and heat tempered trigger, improved cylinder (three element), springs, and tight barrel (down to 6.01) now available from customizers in the philippines. zero trigger in the works though it dispenses with safety latch to save costs. cheaper than what's available commercially. and improved -- i you believe an ACMgamer (sniper specialist) who has both. cheers, zT
Pendra
If the cylinder is trully overall stronger than the stock then I may be interested in an almost full cylinder assembly. I don't need the spring and the spring guide the piston assembly and that long thin rod. I would put the current, powerfull, internals stuff into that reinforced cylinder and use the current cylinder with the stock, less powerfull, internals. Then I can simply swap the cylinders if I don't feel like working out.
gunfighters
The only possible difference might be if UTG have had weaker springs fitted. I seem to recall somebody saying that some of these guns had the 500fps spring replaced with a 350fps spring to give the internals an easier time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> naa they are hiting the 460ish range by all reports. the 350fps was a coment made about the BE model, but that may have been in responce to a retailer that put the wron FPS on the gun. sadly I don't have a crono on mine... but UTG l96 VS mesh mask @ 5' nuff said
Customizer
What mesh mask is that? I'd be really worried if alot of people used them.
DarkLite
What mesh mask is that? I'd be really worried if alot of people used them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd be worried if lots of people were shooting people in the head at 5 feet with a 2J gun.
Customizer
It still happens. Usually because the shooter doesn't understand the weapon's power (newb with KJ M700 running on GG), or by accident. With a 3J gun it would still penetrate at 10m. If the goggles had been weakened by previous shots, you wouldn't even need to shoot from that far. At least I wouldn't wear them, nor would I recommend them to anyone. Plus, members in our team can only be a sniper if they have been an active member for a full year, no matter if he's a rookie or a vet. No exceptions. And yet... people occasionally still get hurt. gunfighters
sorry guys.. I posted the pict to illustrate the utg was far form underpowered. of note the "long" hole is a 3-4 round burst form a point blank 1.04j gun. a 2.3j (warrior) with .43 hits with 1.10 j @ 80', and thats getin close to the meshs fail point for a single bb the single whole was the utg l96 it was a cheap $8 set I got to put the mask part on my good goggles any way lest take the debate on safety else ware and get back on topic. The Big Bad
Yo zt what would be the cost of these custom made parts for our beloved A.C.M L96s
zentaurus
Yo zt what would be the cost of these custom made parts for our beloved A.C.M L96s <{POST_SNAPBACK}> wait awhile plz . . . checking . . ok, here we go . . . piston/cylinder kit around $100 @ Peso55 to the dollar. cylinder is seamless brass with solid brass cylinder head. cylinder head with pressure release valve. cylinder threaded both ends and o-ring at nozzle end. piston copied from three-element piston. made of anodized alloy, can be colored according to your choice. piston head made of teflon for better sealing and rotates like the systema. steel sear hook. also available: steel spring guide and springs customized to your fps range. sear box & trigger: around $60 @ Peso55 to the dollar T6 aircraft aly body and tempered steel trigger zero trigger still in development. pls. note that these are approximate prices noted from the ACMgames board since the customizers (three gamers in all) require personal pms for definite quotes. prices quoted does not include shipping. inquiries have been received from NZ and the US but am not personally aware if units have been shipped. the customizers (not me) know that non-ACMgamers are interested but are presently busy supplying local players. individual parts can be ordered seperately. me? i'm just trying to help. cheers, zT
zentaurus
would'n let me edit so ... i forgot the bull inner barrel (ACM term, ) : about $37 @ peso55 to the dolllar. up to 6.01id brass; bigger od at shooting end to minimize barrel harmonics. you have to do your own teflon coating (spraying works fine). also recalculated the piston/cylinder kit. would be closer to $90-$95 than $100. sori. custom parts will also fit de m50 & jg mp001. cheers, zT
DINO68
the 350fps was a coment made about the BE model <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I chrono'd my BE and it was hitting a consistant 448fps.
Wedgie
I chrono'd my BE and it was hitting a consistant 448fps. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That doesn't mean that all other models are shooting at 448fps though. But then again that is fair difference. Just that I've heard reports of the Warrior 1 shooting anything from 430ish to 500.
Billy210
I've just ordered mine from RSOV It says 2-5 working days for delivery... this seems a bit fast for hong-kong to uk.... then again, I did pay £44 in postage. Can anyone confirm how long delivery usually takes, and how much money I should have on hand to pay the inevitable parcel-force ransom Thanks.
brandskadad
Mine took 16 days but customs in sweden held it for 5 days. Friggin paperwork... The ransom money might not be the same so I'll let a brit answer that one.

White_Rabbit
Ive ordered quite a lot of stuff from keit hat RSOV and it normally takes about 7 to 10 days but the quickest has been 5 days. So far Ive been lucky and its not been stopped by customs.
Billy210
Yeah I was talking to a guy today and his took about 10 days. I'm betting on around £30 ransom, so I'll keep it handy I also got a chance to use one of these L96s today, and now I'm absolutely sure I've made the right choice. If any of you have played at Alpha55, you'll know what I mean when I say someone could hit the tower from the safezone with 0.36g BBs. It's a good 70 meters. And they are really accurate too.
