Revenge Seeker
This would fit in my Kalash...no? http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?itm=VFC-ACC-AKDB-L
Fin
Should do, seeing as kalash is a VFC copy. However i would'nt be surprised if it didnt keep getting stuck in a dboys due to china build quality and the what not I'll get one for my VFC as soon as i got the money to make a HK order
my_plague_666
finally! although i'll hold out until a gas conversion comes out for AKs (something along the lines of escort's mechbox) or i get a fullstock and convert it to take batteries in the stock.
Vercingetorix
Wait... That means the AEG wouldn't be functional, right (if you put said kit in a VFC..)
Johnny Sasaki
Yes, but it would look totally awesome. Like, face-meltingly metal. I suppose that with enough ingenuity you could wire up a lipoly in the stock and have it that way, provided it was a solid stock, like my_plague said. VFC's OEM stocks on the AK74 have that little hollow for a cleaning kit in the back, you could probably get a lipo to fit or widen the cavity enough to get one in there. Utty
Also, it's a simple matter to place a huge battery in the middle of the folding skeleton stock, held in place by a pouch of some sort. I've been thinking of doing that myself. But no, I wouldn't really trust this dummy bolt to fit a dboys AK without binding.
Revenge Seeker
Come'on, there must be a way to put the battery in without rewiring it. Perhaps there's enough space above the bolt?
Bareknuckle
Could you put this in a non VFC gun, like say, a TM AK? A full bolt would make mine rock out loud! Plus I have my battery in the stock.
Revenge Seeker
Non-VFC guns are out of the question. Even Dboys (exact VFC clone) is having some tough time with people believing this can fit only with slight modifications. What's the use of a bolt if you can't put the battery in? Really.... FireKnife
I think this is purely for the collectors so when they hang it on the wall and admire it they can say: 'Wow it's got a real looking bolt in it, fascinating.' That will last all of five seconds and then they realise they have spent £400 on a wall mount (VFC gun with bolt in it). I would rather spend the money on a new magazine or battery instead. PlasticMag
I'm looking at putting one on a DBoys AKS74 with a solid side-folder, battery in the stock. If I do I'll post up how it goes. Not sure I want to wire the AK to the rear though.

Clot
I really want to get this for my 74su... but lack of stick package..... and ill be damned if im using a sat sling or a batt bag... I may get it just to have, and look funky when not in use.
Beast06
Be good for photoshoots I suppose. Hmm, Escort Mechbox + this bolt?

Sturaiku
I don't own a VFC or Dboys, but I do remember that you can open up the gas block to reveal a cavity. Couldn't you put a LiPO in there? Seems the top handgrip can fit one. EDIT: Bleh, I didn't notice the gasblock is being taken up. Well, you could manage a lipo into a solid stock, or a stick lipo hidden in the top ridge of the skeleton stock.
Bareknuckle
Alright, here's the patented Bareknuckle "Not the prettiest" method. Get the AKS-74 or the AKS-74U, run the wiring out the back, and suspend a large battery in the open area of the sidefolding stock. Wrap the stock in one of those funky Eastern Bloc tourniquets, and you're good to go! It's not the prettiest method for sure, but it works, nobody will see the battery, and it's 100% MILSIM accurate. I've seen pics before of real Russian soldiers with tourniquets wrapped around AKS-74 stocks. In my opinion, it would be completely worth it to experience the Cha-chunk sound of a full AK bolt. That's 25% the fun of firing a real AK!
Revenge Seeker
I know what you're talking about and I agree. Roughed up looking stock and to-die-for bolt clanking so 2 wins! I wouldn't even mind if I wrapped the stock with duct tape. But this is another reason I should have waited for the RK06. Either that or copy this set-up.
Shroomalistic
EDIT - I should read the whole thread before I post. sorry for repeating you Bareknuckle
Fin
Hmm, Escort Mechbox + this bolt? Thats my sex filled plan too Another option is get hold of a russian individual(?) medical pack (the type that was pocked into the stocks), hollow it out and store a battery inside it. Now too think of a way to conceal the external cable.....
Inq Eisenhorn
I've always been a bit hit and miss when it comes to AK variants....but this is the business. Now one of those bad boys in the collection would be splendid!
Revenge Seeker
It actually looks like he has a battery sticking out behind that pouch.
Robinio
It actually looks like he has a battery sticking out behind that pouch. Yes, i can see a red wire in there but this is a good choise, or if they did a gp25 witch you could place a battery in...
my_plague_666
the STAR GP30 comes with an endcap so it can be used as a battery box. i think it'd be interesting to see if anyone could manage to wire up a VFC AKS74/AK74M like the VFC SCAR. that way you could have a mini or Li-Po (or maybe even large if used used a tourniquet with an AKS stock) and not have to worry about wires getting caught. the only other thing i thought of would be to fit some sort of auto retracting mechanism (maybe nicked from a little retractable dog lead) in the back of an AKS stock so that any slack in the wire could be taken up as the stock closes. then just chuck a tourniquet over the stock. can anyone find any flaws with this? PlasticMag
Nope. I ordered a full stock sidefolder for my DBoys RK02 for that exact reason.
