CrazyJ
I didn't see anything about this and it came out of nowhere, no brand is named unless they want to call themselves Wilson Combat $140 fullmetal, looks kinda tempting. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...2c78d77870f4908
junior
Looks like WE got wilson licensing rights... Look right on the trigger guard http://www.airsoftgi.com/images/pic-026-wilson-combat-D.jpg?
Armourpiercing
But the trades are not correct & lets face it - WE 1911's are junk. AP.
CrazyJ
awww boo...why couldn't it have been KJW.
Spartan452
i thought KJW 1911's were rebranded WEs
CrazyJ
i thought KJW 1911's were rebranded WEs I don't think they are
masakarijoe
wow. looks great. very good thing for them to make. i may even buy one... maybe. but if they made a kimber... -Joe
renegadecow
awww boo...why couldn't it have been KJW. The lesser evil? But still junk at some level. It definitely looks like a WE 1911 though, and the Novak rear looks very out of place as Wilsons usually have Bomars.
fal
It is WE. You can tell by hammer housing. WE always uses hi-capa style "side-slap" design.
Hispeed1
BOO! That's just the WE tactical railed 1911 with a different grip cover and "Wilson Combat" etched on the slide.
RUSHER2
Its a WE tech look at the picture close up of the Trigger you can see the WE logo there.
felix4536
Yep just a WE Tactical with some trades and a wilson grip. What a waste. IF at least KJ or CA did it you could have used all of the TM upgrades on it an made it decent.
masakarijoe
not at all a WE tactical differences: all black 3 hole trigger (instead of the tac's 3 slot) grips trademarks (though incorrect) and my WE m1911 tac is not junk. great pistol i just might buy this one too. and definately the marui meu (when it comes out eventually... been waiting too long) -Joe
CrazyJ
not at all a WE tactical differences: all black 3 hole trigger (instead of the tac's 3 slot) grips trademarks (though incorrect) well I'd like to think it wasn't but can you explain the little WE emblem by the trigger guard. cortes_
Please....Joe. You have this gun and don't see ? Shape of the slide and frame, magazine, safeties, sights.... It's just WE with some trades and Wilson grips. Nothing more. You installed gunners grips on Your WE and it's Marsoc for You. If You are happy about that it's fine. But this is just WE tactical and won't be Wilson Combat model only with grips. Lack of proper magazine relase, thumb safety, sights, and many small things You can see on Western Arms models ... This is just poor try in my opinion.
spartan490
I don't think Joe is arguing that it is made by WE. He was just pointing out that there are more differances between this and the Tac than just the trades and grips.
felix4536
hell i might just buy it for the grips.
Senor Bear
The finish on all WEs makes me cry. I would much rather have one of these in decent plastic.
argonadict77
regardless of any nitpicking at this point its more a legit wilson combat than anything in the airsoft world,as its a legal product and not a counterfiet item. i would pay more for a correct high quality legal one in a heartbeat, but for now im taking the plunge on this one. fal
The finish on all WEs makes me cry. I would much rather have one of these in decent plastic. I agree. Personaly, having owned various WE's recent GBBs, I have no problems with whatever metal they used to make it. But the poor finish is always my concern. Sure I could replaint it but it is not as easy for someone like me living in a tiny apartment. If they used proper anodising or even use higher quality spray paints, it would make it a LOT better. Get yourself a WA then. Wilson Combat license WA to make 1911s with Wilson trades. Wilson Website
masakarijoe
yeah, i was just saying that this is not a WE tac... it is a we "wilson" incorrect, but not a we tac thats all. -Joe
nine
but if they made a kimber... -Joe id buy that (even if it is WE)
drummguy731
From Airsoft G.I.'s website: Specifications: Manufacturer: WE Muzzle Velocity: 340FPS Magazine Capacity: 12 Rounds Licensed by Wilson Combat Not arguing, just trying to settle whatever dispute going on about the manufacturer, if there even is one still going on. NegativeCambre
Can WE 1911's go through entire magazines now? I know the early ones had big time gas conservation issues... has that been solved?
