Donut
Full metal trademarked M4 for cheap? not bad
uscmCorps
Full metal trademarked M4 for cheap? not bad Do we know for sure they're full metal?
Abelius
"It features a Stock CT Metal Body Kit" Unless these have something really bad inside, I can't see how they wouldn't be made of win-win.
TheFull9
Liking the simple but modern looking, compact, nice trades; what I'd want in an armalite actually.
Hispeed1
The external on that G&P M4 is great, good price too. It's just that G&P internals are kind of-hit and miss.
Korppi
I'm ready to pay (oops payed) the tag for just externals. If internals fail I'll just visit ebaybanned for dboy cheapness. One couldn't dream of these prices few years back
Abelius
TBH the only hit and miss on G&P's seems to be their gears. I've had my sector gear axle snap away, many other people have had gear failures too. Their compression parts on the other hand for example are nothing short of godly and produce a perfect seal. Agreed although i will say that their tappets are still somewhat suspect. This really is a fantastic deal provided the internals arent cheaper components of what many regard to be already just "decent" at best. Anyone know what redwolf means when they say CT trademarked body? Are they referring to colt?
GuzziHero
Incredibly uninspiring. Plus its G&P which just makes it about bottom on my 'want' list.
Azulsky
Guzzi write a "I have a vendetta against G&P" disclaimer or something. Seems interesting, I wonder what the compromise is?
uscmCorps
Anyone know what redwolf means when they say CT trademarked body? Are they referring to colt? I think so. Incredibly uninspiring. Plus its G&P which just makes it about bottom on my 'want' list. Man... you really hate G&P. If it's about G&P, I always know you're never far away ready to share the hate. Personally, I love G&P's M4s. Though I'm not a fan of their lack of evolution for the product. King Arms, G&G's Top Tech, VFC, Systema... they've all done something to set themselves apart and evolve their product (even KA which is a very slight departure from G&P's offerings). G&P's M4 AEGs on the other hand has seemed pretty stagnant for a long time constantly recycling the same old body parts. But I still think the overall quality of G&P's M4s are decent and well worth the money. $158 to $167 though is a very competitive price for what is essentially a really good base gun. A G&P metal body alone costs $100 at retail. When you throw in everything else they've included (front end, buffer tube, crane stock, pistol grip, gearbox, inner barrel, KAC style flip up rear sight)... that's a killer deal. Also, I'm in the fortunate position of knowing their out of pocket and wholesale costs for most G&P M4 parts... if these are indeed up to the same quality as their regular M4 products, I'm pretty sure G&P's selling these at below wholesale prices and making very little profit. SuperJohn
God not another thread where everyone who hates G&P has their tuppence worth... they're well worth the money and these two look great.
sadman
Those prices for G&P are madness! I've fallen in love with mine (other than replacing sector gears) I'd consider buying some more at this price.
Blink43va
G&P M4's are great, yes they have had problems, but I would pick one over a CA or G&G any day. Too bad I just bought a JG HK416, I would have picked up that G&P M4 sportline in a heartbeat....
[BS]_MARS
First off, we really don't know what the "CT" receiver is so I've emailed redwolf to see. If it's just the same as regular G&P M4 receivers, then great.
[BS]_MARS
As a follow up, they told me this (which is utterly usless): Thank you for your email. The Stock CT Metal Body Kit just the names of receiver and you still have Colt marking as you see in our site photo. Please place an order in our site. Thank you
Sale
Liking the simple but modern looking, compact, nice trades; what I'd want in an armalite actually. Colt trademarks on an Armalite? Hmm... Just messing with your head. -Sale
[BS]_MARS
Got a reply when I asked for further explanation, it's as follows: Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, we don’t have any special notice from G&P about this. Therefore we assume they are the same as normal receiver with official COLT trademark on. Thank you
Abelius
Can't be. At least if they have 6mm bushings as advertised. All G&P guns have had 7mm bearings until now.
Utty
Prices down to JG-level, eh? Nice one. Still, no way I'd buy this over a JG.
skattergunn
Can't be. At least if they have 6mm bushings as advertised. All G&P guns have had 7mm bearings until now. Actually they started out 6mm in 03-04'. You can still get G&P bodies at WGC that come with a G&P 6mm box.
Magsz
Prices down to JG-level, eh? Nice one. Still, no way I'd buy this over a JG. Why? The quality of the externals is a million miles beyond anything JG has EVER produced.
