  1. I have liked too many posts today, and now I can't like anymore. That doesn't strike me as awesome. I like everything, I wish to express this with buttons.

Stop adding to the retard culture of 'liking', if you like it that much surely you could come up with a witty and charming post in response :P

Perhaps.. I don't think this is the last we'll be seeing of Raul and his fine hat shop though.

  4. I honestly murderously hate people who can't hack the fact GBBR's are totally practical skirmish weapons.

    1. hwagan

      hwagan

As something designed to put BB's out of the barrel, I can agree with that. In my experience though, not including cold weather, my GBBR's have been more reliable in the field. I've had AEG trigger contacts burn out on me, gearbox lockups and motor connectors work loose, as well as overheated motors and other things. I'm more confident in my GBBR putting a round out when I pull the trigger than an AEG, even if an AEG can throw out (an unncessary amount) more in a shorter space of time.

I would love to agree but I havent skirmished mine yet it needs a *fruitcage* ton of work doing.

What make and model is it? The key is stick to stock manufacturer stuff other than the hop or unless there's a serious design flaw!

  5. I just.. I installed a Madbull MFR on my G&P M4. In 2 minutes. Without issue.. I just don't know what to say.

    1. hwagan

      hwagan

Which madbull rail? I'm seriously thinking it's either a slightly worn G&P thread or the barrel nut as opposed to G&P changing the thread size, as my WOC was manufactured about 2 years ago and I've had a couple of TM spec rails I haven't been able to fit onto it.

    2. hwagan

      hwagan

Also, now that G&P seem to be using Madbull for licensed rails, maybe they've said 'Hey look, our nuts go onto any gun, so why don't you guys make them to our spec so they'll go on basically everything rather than just TM spec?'

    3. beta08

      beta08

That could be... actually now that I think about it, it was a Socom Gear rail. The Mk18 one. Either way I was expecting some dremmeling of the threads but I was pleasantly surprised.

  7. I like my guns too :D On a serious note, what colours/technique did you use for the ATACS job on your M4? Frankly it turds all over my attempt...

They've got 'em on ShooterCB gear, I haven't seen them elsewhere; They've got the standard troll face, forever alone guy, and relaxed guy. Pretty decent patches 'n all.

    2. TheFull9

      TheFull9

Sweet, will have to add those to the collection. I should really check the ACM sites more for patches, they do some good stuff.

The day I use 134a is the day FireKnife stops making innuendo's! So far I'm 10 mags in on GG and all seems fine, the thing is a beast.

  13. I'm actually considering buying an AR that isn't a G&P... has anyone tried G&P midcaps in a King Arms larue body?

    1. hwagan

      hwagan

I figure as much - I'm gonna risk it anyway... To Wolf!

    2. bladerunner168

      bladerunner168

I've got no problems with KA, I've had 3 SR16's and they were all rock solid as G&P's are. GB not as robust as G&P's but still usable for 50K rounds without modifications. You definately want to change/fiddle with the hop unit though.

    3. hwagan

      hwagan

Got my hands on it - Larue 9.0. Externals are effing gorgeous, but i've had to tighten up the barrel nut, replace the buffer tube, and the disassembly is a nightmare. Hop seems perfect on the bright side. Maybe i'm just a perfectionist, but G&P are a good few points ahead. I'm still pleased with it though.

  14. I'm going to get killed for this, but; Other than the new gen recoil versions, TM AEG's are way, way too expensive for what they are.

another good example is tm g3sg1 around £270 for something thats totaly plastic and creaks all the time. as said there under powered but internals make up for it there pritty reliable so you know ur cash is pritty safe. There Pistols are still value for money though. I just feel TM is falling behind in the times lately with not that many new guns coming out

    3. TheFull9

      TheFull9

If anything, TM are way ahead of the times with the EBBRs, most people just don't want to move on, mostly because of the high costs and (comparative) total lack of after-market support. The reason they don't make that many releases is because they put the time and effort in to making everything they do release reliable and high quality.

    4. Stuey

      Stuey

Yes, they're EBBs are great. Sadly their normal AEGs are a bit behind. And it's nothing to do with Japan's low power limits either, there's no reason why they couldn't make a Real Sword quality AK that fired at 300 fps. They just don't, I guess in Japan they must be considered the budget option.

  16. I'm so high-speed low-drag, people mistake me for a greased up marlin.

  17. I've confirmed My MRP DOES have Prime externals... *smug*

  18. If everyone paypals me 50p, I can afford a G&P SR16E3.

    1. hwagan

      hwagan

Quiet you ;) I'll get my hands on one somehow, even if it takes some sort of prostitution. How financially stable is FireKnife these days?

I'd have taken that offer if I'd checked last night, but due to the wonders of parents being utter legends, they're loaning me the money for said gun. Sweet Jesus, I don't know how to describe this level of happy.

Shop's good these days - A year ago i despised them, but i've bought about £1200's worth of stuff there in the past few months. Really, really improved. £290 for the 607, which is actually £5 cheaper than FS... On another note; IT'S F&*KING AWESOME.

I'm sorely tempted to spend my March bonus on the Scout; A full length jobbie is a bit too big for my liking. Does anyone know the part number of the steel trigger housing? I'm not sure if the RA'd one comes with it pre-fitted or not...

      What happened to the MRP?

    3. hwagan

      hwagan

Haven't spoken to John in aaaages, so I'm not entirely sure. Plus, buying a different AR platform to my KWA and then the mags is just stupid, even if it is an MRP.
