Tripod Posted February 22, 2005 Report Share Posted February 22, 2005 I am just curious as to what everyone's opinions are on Russian Camouflage. There are several types, and all of them to me are pretty cool but this is your chance to tell us what YOUR favorite is and why. I'll give everyone a description and picture of the camouflages. Woodlands : Kamysh/Tiger : Really the same patterns. Difference is small, and only because Kamysh is made by ANA and Tiger (Or Tigr) is made by Splav. Only slight color variations, which are obvious in the pictures. Les : Self explanatory. Simple design. Very popular. Flora : I believe this is an older Camouflage pattern. Supposed to be VERY affective in the UK from a few reports on www.red-alliance.net . Nato : This is pretty much a copy of the standard US woodland pattern. Again, pretty self explanatory. I don't see it used that much, but it is pretty similar to Les. Reed : I believe this is another older pattern, but again is supposed to work pretty well. Urbans : Gorod-1 : Looks like a generic urban design. Shadow/Kamysh-Urban : An urban/night variation of the Kamysh/Tigr patterns. Could be a very effective pattern in low light situations. Reed-Urban Another urban variation of a woodland pattern. This is in the reed configuration. Please take your time to vote on which one you think is the best. Take into consideration how well the patterns would work, how they look, and what you perfer. Here are some other images which might give you a better idea of the patterns. When you see someone wearing Flecktarn, he's German, if he's wearing DPMs he's British, if he's wearing Flora, you know he's from Russia. Though those Partisan Suits are sexy... It works best at my normal field... theres barely any undergrowth so the dirt ground works will with the shades of brown. The greens work nicley when standing. It looks good. Though I agree with flora being uniquely russian. I was going to buy flora, but I've decided that tiger matches the terrain a little more. Link to post Share on other sites
