SniPeR-ESO
EI RRV (Copy) with Rear Plate Carrier: Whats that armourer under your rig, and where can they be bought from?
justin.kovacs
Thats a KA PACA SPR Low Vis Concealable Replica. I think Redwolf still carries them. They would be called: King Arms SF Body Armor
Fatal
I thought it was interesting a few of them dont use the horizontal strap on the RRV at all, one guy you can see it flapping while he is escorting the suspected taliban. They just have it H style. Interesting Also noticed one guy wearing the PACA underneath his BDU. Other than that only thing interesting was the long m203 on the 14.5 carbine, ill keep looking and drooling. Sorry if im repeating known stuff, all the RRV's in this and the ranger thread have me itching for one so bad While I was on a mission with SEALs they had some interesting kits. T shirts only, Baseball caps, no helmets, shorts... it was amazing to go, why am I wearing this flak with full armor and you are wearing a t shirt. It was some what funny. HeuteGegangen
Were they wearing those famous PT short shorts?
Fatal
Lol, no like cargo shorts that your typical dad would wear. Minus the lameness of the dad.

I ran into the same stuff in Iraq in '04. With the SEALs and the SF. Half these guys were in civilian attire, no body armor, hand grenades in their cargo pockets, Mets and Yankees hats, full beards, oakleys and their rifle..... ......I was like "What The......?" It's amazing what your allowed to do to get the job done. Without going into great detail, I was allowed to wear civilian clothes on one mission in the middle of 2004 and thats because our DCUs and BDUs didnt fit in to the mission. Although, I laid on top of the Spiral Minaret for 16 hours..... it was kinda pointless. I did feel pretty BA rolling around in our gun trucks before the insertion....... HeuteGegangen
So would like quicksilver be SEALs approved? If so, have you ever seen flip flops worn?

Quicksilver isn't gucci enough, and flip flops yes I actually have. When they would walk to the shower tent.
Delta_Knight
I think I'm nearing completion of my SEALs Kit. It's not pefect, but it's getting there, as there a few bits and pieces that needs to be sorted, such as RAID modding my DCU's and getting a permanent holster sorted out, and some minor details. christhesecond
There's no rule that you need to mod the DCUs. Seen plenty of guys without the usual mods.

Lt.Kurt
No disrespect intended, but did you guys read the article? "Assigned to highly selective Naval Special Warfare Development Group..." DEVGRU huh? Sounds like cover story to me... I'd have to agree with you if it weren't for the fact that SEALs are at "home" in the water. I don't believe they would have chosen this scenario for a cover up because it is so unbelievable. He was unfortunately most likely weighed down by his gear and unable to surface. I can see how this could be viewed as a coverup though, because like I said before SEALs are at "home" in the water. Regardless, Rest In Peace and Thank You for your service.
Raven 6
Raven6, paint that Norotos mount tan! I'm debating about painting them or not... It looks good with all the black velcro lol. And opposite to real life operators... I do want my "norotos" to be seen
voodookid88
I'm debating about painting them or not... It looks good with all the black velcro lol. And opposite to real life operators... I do want my "norotos" to be seen why? do you mean in reference to being an Operator with that mount? Rivron guys and even some USMC grunts have them (mostly officers i believe, could be wrong) its not strictly a SF type of mount
Raven 6
Well... if you get picky with my wording. I used "operator" as a generic term for a soldier/sailor or whatever.

Whoa Kurt don't go to far Coverup is a loaded word. I think the use of cover stories to maintain OPSEC and PERSEC is more than defensible. I was mostly referring to the description of DEVGRU (Very Euphemistic ) and the overall vagueness of the description.
