Jagdraben
Dumb question: Anyone know anything about the 'sporting' AimPoints? The ones with the really long tubes? I keep on looking at the lower price of a simple AP and I find myself tempted toward it and away from the NightForce.
Titleist
If you're going to use an aimpoint, get a good one like a T-1 or M series. Only a few dozen FDE slings went out to the guys who pre-ordered, COUGH!
Wayneard3413
Comp M2 will do everything you need and at a reasonable price point as well
Jagdraben
Clearly, MagPul does not find as much joy in the repentance of one sinner as they do in the ninety-nine righteous who need no repentance. [/thumpin'] ® Anyhoozle... I might call up mah retailer and have him cancel the NF. Roll an M3 on a cantilever (why? Scout scoping without having the scope mounted on the top handguard, which might work itself loose, as it is removed for servicing the gas piston. That and I can get a FDE cover). And then use my LT-139 for the eventual DMR upper.
Wayneard3413
Really unless you plan on running a magnifier you could just pick up a standard LT mount
Wayneard3413
New version Pmags just got dropped off... When I first saw that the dust cover could be mounted on the bottom of the mag I really couldn't care less... But once I slapped one on the bottom I noticed that there is a generous gap between it and the bottom of the mag This provides a bit of stand off between the ground and the bottom of your mag, kind of like a lumpy plate... Might not provide as much protection as a purpose built product but every bit counts
Titleist
Probably not, since it's hard polymer. I see the big pay off in that you don't have to worry about losing those follower covers anymore.
Jagdraben
Guh. These things were sent to tempt us. Some retailers have M6A2s in stock. I'unno if I want to go with the more expensive M6A3 in June or get the less expensive M6A2 now.
Titleist
As I said via PM, go with the M6A2.
Jagdraben
Cancelled and ordered. (And then I'll order an M6A3 upper, eventually.)
Wayneard3413
Bird in the hand is worth a M6A3 on order... Or something like that haha
Jagdraben
And got the paperwork done for the transfer. So the weapon should be here on Thursday.
Wayneard3413
Good deal man, congrats
Jagdraben
Also: Since I no longer have a bayonet to contend with, I'll be getting the PWS FSC556.
Wayneard3413
For some reason I think the quicker follow up shots will prove to be a bit more advantageous than the pig sticker haha
Jagdraben
It seems glaringly obvious to me, sir, that you have never been subjected to a home invasion by pigs!
Titleist
I'll be getting the PWS FSC556. Excellent, another one converts!
Wayneard3413
It seems glaringly obvious to me, sir, that you have never been subjected to a home invasion by pigs! My well known love of Bacon has led pigs giving me a wide berth haha
Sniperman15
Titleist, I went to the range today, random fella offered to let me shoot his SBR'ed AR with silencer. And dammit, I loved it. So congratulations, I will officially be more jealous of you than I was originally.
Titleist
Yep, it's a tough life I live!
Jagdraben
Hmm... the only trouble with the M6A2 is that it looks just like any other AR-15 out there. I think I might have it Cera-koted in gun metal gray (to match my Kimber!) or something....
Agent47
Two of my female friends have been pestering me to take them shooting for a couple of weeks now and I'm not sure what to say, I've only been to the actual range and shot only like 3 times in my life, but I can clear a gun and know the basic grip and techniques... should I take them alone (they're both over 21) or should I have someone more experienced come with me? (I don't want to have to drag one of the range employees off duty and I'm not 21 yet - come on March 25...)
Wayneard3413
Take someone along... You can't really teach someone to shoot if you don't have a firm grasp on it yourself
Jagdraben
I second Wayneard. Not so BAD. (Scroll down about two-thirds of the way down the page.)
Victory
Alright, looking to officially join the big-boy club. Going to dip into my savings a bit, and get... Thoughts on the XCR? Also, Light or Heavy barrel? -Vic
