Any serious UMP fans (and lets face it, you have to like them quite a bit to cope with the huge mags) would have got the G&G, or STAR and those who like them but not a huge amount probably got the DE like i did. And look at that price tag! Really they are a company that is going into a deep ravine if they keep this up. Chinese manufacterers are more innovative than CA these days. Rob15 Posted May 7, 2009 Report Share Posted May 7, 2009 Indeed, it is quite a asthetically challenged gun but the actual design is brilliant making it stupidly easy to strip down and remove the gearbox (About as easy as P90s) but the mags on UMPs and P90s are silly big I never used to like it with being a bit of a die hard MP5 lover but it has won me over. If they did a 9mm version with sensible sized mags it would be a much more versitile gun to use Link to post Share on other sites

I'm a fan of the straight mag, I think a curved 9mm mag would look out of place. One of the civilian style short straight mags would look good too though. What I'd actually like to see is the stock found on the civi version of the UMP, the USC, as seen here: So I'd like to see the stock from the gun in the pic, put on the UMP with the .45 mag. Mmmm it was the Quantum poster I believe, but there again the film version carries on from Casino Royale... bah anyway, hardly important, but they have massively missed out on a trick there... a few dollars slung at someone for the rights and they could of had a licenced 007 product, a box set with silencer and bowtie, lol... they'd never of been able to make enough of them.. (of course China could just make it anyway ) Meh, anyway, same old same old, I'm just glad they didn't make the horrific UMC - as with many civilian versions, it should be killed with fire. With you on the 'Bond' edition though, I'd have bought one. Still would if someone makes one! Wouldn't the whole magwell be different for 9mm, not just the mag? (no idea so don't flame me if you know folks!) I've been tempted by a UMP ever since Die Hard 4... that one with reflex sight and Surefire looks amazing, but no-one says any of the airsoft UMPs are any good... :-( Link to post Share on other sites
