t_hum
I figured that would be the problem. With gas efficiency issues normally the problem is one of three things: 1. Mag valve sticky 2. piston seal issues 3. flute valve issues Glad you got it working.

Roman!
So it seems what is recommended is using propane for operation. Should I fill the mags with Green Gas for week to week storage in order to keep the mag seals from drying out?
Andrew12
So it seems what is recommended is using propane for operation. Should I fill the mags with Green Gas for week to week storage in order to keep the mag seals from drying out? No, I don't even know if anyone has had issues with seals drying out yet. The valves need to be manually lubed every 5,000 rounds but that is done in a different way. Just leave em!
Shadow_Ocelot
Yeah, I leave a sprits of propane in my mag for storage. No problems here on that!
sirrith
Well propane is not available to me so I guess I'll just have to keep using green/134a
PapayaSalad
About 4000 rounds through, and one of my mags is leaking quite badly at the fill valve. Gas is escaping around the edges of the valve, not from the pin shaped part of it that you pump gas into. Ideas?
t_hum
Is it in there tight and is the o-ring underneath it in one piece? Edited October 8, 2010 by t_hum
PapayaSalad
Is it in there tight and is the o-ring underneath it in one piece? Would I have to disassemble the mag to check the o-ring?
theprodigy
i think i know what happened. most gas gun boards consist of talk of problems and issues with guns. we don't have that here at kjw, so members start turning on each other over lil things that don't really matter. weekenny
Would I have to disassemble the mag to check the o-ring? No you should be able to just unscrew and remove the fill valve.
PapayaSalad
How do I go about unscrewing it? Really tiny needle nose? Otherwise, I really don't see how I can unscrew it.

nickthebrick65
Had a major failure today. The tabs on my upper receiver broke off from normal shooting, now my gun won't stay closed. Anyways, I am about to start my new career, so airsofting may not be in my future. I plan to sell everything KJW GBBR related and just buy an aeg to have when I need it. If you want anything let me know. Will post my for sale thread soon.
t_hum
The tabs shouldn't break from regular shooting alone. They were likely weakened from opening/closing the receiver and then finally gave way during use. It is a flaw in the design though. Rumor has it that KJW is fixing this issue in future releases. Andrew12
Hopefully one that they CAN ship to the US As far as I know, KJW is not interested in shipping any metal uppers or lowers to the United States, Period. They might change this if a few thousand people requested them, but they refuse to send dealers these parts.
DesertFox
I don't see why they don't considering an upper isn't even considered as a firearm
Andrew12
I don't see why they don't considering an upper isn't even considered as a firearm The general consensus has been that they just want to avoid the ATF and other countries regulatory agencies all together. When the ATF starts poking their noses, your company will have some serious issues importing stuff down the road. Lesson learned with AONW. Ask them, chances are they will not give you a direct answer. I know they didn't give one to myself and several other members.
weekenny
Will they ship uppers to the UK? Anyone know? If they did I could forward some on to the US.
DRAGON64
Off topic, but I was wondering if anyone picked up on the new "cheap" M4 GBBR on the market: $195 WELL M4 GBBR at Airsplat: http://www.airsplat.com/Items/GR-WELL-G16A2.htm Comes w/ a 50 round magazine. So what rebrand is this: AGM? or JG? Or is this some new cheap GBBR? I would not have asked here, except that the receiver resembled the KJW... obviously the magazine is a dead give away that this is not a KJW clone.
weekenny
Being metal it wont be the JG I expect it'll be the ACM from last year. So a cheap WA system and lets face it even the expensive brand WA system guns don't function that well out the box.
