ollie_ty
Agreed, thats the worst interpretation of an MP9 silencer i've ever seen!
bulmedius
what type of hopup rubbers can the mp9 take?
ollie_ty
KWA/KSC type, almost all of their guns use the same rubbers. Edited December 31, 2011 by ollie_ty
Mace2
Got a new tightbore barrel from HK. Time to open my MP9 for the first time!
ollie_ty
Fun Fun Fun! Its pretty easy bro just follow the guides in here.
Mace2
Ok - got it in pieces and new tightbore and hop ready to fit but how do I remove the old inner barrel?
Mace2
Ok - found the tiny grub screw that holds it in place and used the new barrel to push out the old one. Managed to remove the old hop without losing the tiniest bb in the world. So how on earth do I get it back together so that the hop adjustment works?? Edited January 12, 2012 by Mace2
ollie_ty
You have to make sure the ratcheting C Clip is on in the right position, if you can wait till tomorrow I'll take some pictures for you
Mace2
Thanks Olly. I think I worked it out but I'll wait for the pictures. Also want to know how far in to push the inner barrel - what should the hop adjuster look like when fully inserted and what's the best way to push it in without damaging the teeth or the hop rubber. The gun disassembly was easy thanks to the photos posted on here but there is a lack of markings for the hop adjuster and c clip that makes it less than obvious. ollie_ty
Does that help? I have more pictures to help too. Basically, try and arrange it like this, the C Clip that does the ratcheting adjustment should go level, underneath the barrel if that makes sense? EDIT: Line it up like that, and the teeth should sit almost flush, like so: Edited January 13, 2012 by ollie_ty
Mace2
Excellent. Thanks Olly that's exactly what I needed to know. All fitted now time to put it back together and test fire it!
ollie_ty
Awesome. If it fires slightly off to the left or right youll have to whip it all back out and just play with the postioning of the rubber and barrel within the outer barrel. But once you know how the hop up goes back together, its childs play. Edited January 13, 2012 by ollie_ty
Mace2
Cheers. All back together and just need to test it in the morning. Thanks for your help.
Mace2
All firing fine and more consistent than before but shooting right a bit without hop. So its all out and start again! Feeling much more confident about it this time though.
ollie_ty
Its all about how you get that rubber and barrel lined up, what MAY help is to line then up as best you can, and then put some nail varnish over the end of the rubber where it meets the barrel, or wrap some fine cotton thread/dental floss/fishing line around the same area to make sure they dont spin about during the reassembly. Mace2
Good tip - take off your scope to measure whether it shoots straight. The red dot was out not the inner barrel. Now I want a dangerwerx outer barrell do I can fit a silencer!
Nailz
Yeah, I have one. It's pretty good actually! So there isn't any issue with using the KSC version in the KWA. I understand they are basically the same companies but I've heard some claiming that there have been compatability issues with the MP9s. Is that BS?
Mace2
No - just fitted mine without any issues.
Nailz
Hey all, I was looking at these two items for my KWA MP9 (US Version if that makes any bit of difference). Has anyone tested to see that the MP9 mags fit in the MP5 mag pouches? So the KSC parts are 100% compatible with the KWA SMG then? Awesome. Thanks all and great thread thus far. It's enlightening to see people who have the knowledge base for this amazingly fun SMG. Wingmann
Magazines will fit without any problem. Even MP7 ones fit.
Nailz
Sic. I have 6 rows of molle on the front pannel of my TAG plate carrier so I'd be able to get two of those side by side for six mags on the chest woot!
DangerWerx
Nailz, I am gonna blow your mind. http://www.botachtactical.com/catrsmgmagpo.html Edit: It didn't dawn on me that you may be specifically looking for A-tacs scheme. For anyone else stateside looking for mp9 mag pouches, this will be for you. Edited January 23, 2012 by DangerWerx
Nailz
Damn, the price is surely right...$7 ea? I am looking for A-TACS to match the plate carrier though. That said, I sure wish they had this in coyote brown to match a cumberbun I have in the same. What kind of difference has been realized by throwing that 6.01 in the MP9? Also, what are the real possiblilities of the small springs on the nozzle jacking up. It seems to be a small PITA to get those damn pins out for me to check as I don't have the best of punches or tables for it.
vilerk
Does anyone know if its possible to transplant NS2 internals into the Hardkick models? I found a SPP and was hoping I could just keep the receiver and replace everything else. EDIT: And is it also to convert the magazines to NS2 by transplanting parts? Edited January 25, 2012 by vilerk
ollie_ty
For the magazine, Id say definitely not, the follower is a completely different shape, and to make new cuts into the bb channel . Why dont you just sell the SPP and get the MP9R and then get rid of the rail?
