Yeah, me neither, I prefer not having the front sight in the way but the build im thinking on use the regular triangle front sightand I prefer the optics sitting slightly over the sight to make the aiming less uncomfortable. Worst case scenario I might try to make a MGS4 M4

Atacs water transfer, what seems to be a fuly ltraded sight, same QD lever AND killflash, not a bad deal for 95$, not exactly cheap, but its the price to pay

Will report again when it gets home :)

EDIT: DERP! forgot the link ^_^U

Try asking AliExpress wholesalers if they can sell them to individual clients. Sometimes they respond.

As for shipping times, they're around three weeks on average, based on my previous experience with other stuff I ordered from there. Sometimes they're fast, sometimes they screw up terribly (those guys are pretty much eBay stores all put together in one place), and sometimes it's China Post that screws up.

Im Sorry I cant post pics, but I just recieved the srs clone I ordered and I have to say that chas words dont do it justice, period, so I will make his words mine and will just make some little punctuations.

His only gripe was windage was not adjustable, mine is, but the screws feel a bit weak, no positive click when turning them. Besides that, the sight is perfect.

it looks a bit bulky and feels heavy, but its actually almost the same size as as an XPS and even lighter.

The Atacs camo looks awesome and the markings, full markings to be precise, only make it look better from close inspection.

Now I just need to sell my other red dots and buy another one

That replica ARD (as seen bundled with the QD model) is threaded wrong for the non-QD SRS.  My guess would be that they're from different OEMs.  I was able to remove the collar and wedge the tapered ARD into place by force, but this puts the flange deep enough to interfere with battery removal.  That's not good, because there seems to be battery drain while the unit is off.

Mine's just a pain to replace because the ARD has to be removed first due to the way I bodged it in, hence the photo showing the overlap.

Reading this thread over it looks like there are really two completely different replicas.  The thumbscrew version has full trades, orange lens coating, different threads, and I didn't get the zeroing issues Chas mentioned.  The faux solar panel is not a sticker, just a printed sheet under a rigid frosted plastic shield that pops off easily.  I'm going to have to glue mine back on.

Let's see that from the top down, and we'll talk about which is bulky. By my count all up the Trijicon SRS is also the heaviest at 391g (Eotech 553 349g, Aimpoint Comp M4 335g), and (not including mount, since I can't find its width with the mount anywhere) the widest at 63.5mm (Aimpoint Comp M4 53mm, Eotech 553 49mm). It might be the shortest but it's not exactly a small sight.

I've never seen the QD version in person, I was just making comparisons based on Chas's review.  I think the tint might be similar on both, mine has an orange coating on the front and a slight blue tint when looking through the sight.  Mine also has noticeable vertical parallax, but for airsoft purposes this isn't a big deal as long as you have a cheek weld.

Pro: full markings on left side (still looks nothing like the raised logo on the RS), slotted windage and elevation screws

Con: cheap looking paint, replica ARD does not fit, soft edges, thumbscrews are so 80's

QD replica:

Pro: sharper edges, better looking coating, QD lever, replica ARD bundle available

Con: hex windage and elevation screws, partial markings on left side

I absolutely despise clone QD systems; the metal they're made out of is either very soft so it breaks the first time you tighten it or easily fatigued so it breaks the tenth time you tighten it. Plus, it's easy to over-tighten QD levers, damaging the equally soft metal of most airsoft AR15s, and I find you can never get them 'just right' - either they're too loose, or you think you're going to break the lever. Thumbscrews all the way for me.

Looks like both sights have pros and cons, then; thanks for laying them out!

You're talking about replicas or RS sights?
Anyway, as long as it sits near the mass center, it shouldn't be much problem with those differences :).

The real thing, since that's a Stickman photo. The worst sight for weight is by far still the Elcan SpectreDR 1-4x, at 640g. No wonder it always feels like it's trying to turn your rifle upside-down!
