On the right is my mate wearing flora under a kamysh leshy suit, with m22 black rig. PK-A scope on a kalash ak74su with pbs-1 . Got a few more team mates - must get a group pic when all are around
bombermonk
how did he fit the PK-A on the AKSU? Removed the rear sight?
Clot
We used a bit of ' Russian Leverage ' Basicly took a hack saw to it and ripped half of it off Doesnt look too pretty, but works perfectly as it should. Its never used without the scope, so not really missing anything by not having the rear sight.
socal_recon
I need some of your guys' help. I'm planning on doing an impression based around Kamysh(non Urban), but I've been unable to find a kit list or an airsofter who has posted up a completed impression using Kamysh. From the research I've done Kamysh was mostly used during Chechnya and by the MVD. So if anyone could provide a basic kit list(webbing, headwear, etc.) that used Kamysh as the BDU camo pattern that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to anyone that can provide information. joeshred
any opinions of a smersh type rig from modox? hpw much does it differ from a sposn one?
Hoppum
Appears to lack the pouch support straps and the buttpack looks smaller.
bombermonk
isn't a smersh, think it's more like the splav harnass system
PlasticMag
isn't a smersh, think it's more like the splav harnass system That is a SMERSH, it's just the MODOX style. It lacks a lot of the support and refinements of the SPOSN version, consider it a SMERSH-Lite. I looked at buying it and ultimately decided to get the SPOSN offering - I'm glad I did. CapaciousZepher
You guys got any links to current/fairly recent issue Russian boots? Or links to something that will look similar? My Marine Issue Belleville Gortex just don't cut it for the Russian stuff The MVD summer ones on the page linked below look to be the ticket, but are a bit pricey. Am I looking to spend 80+ from most retailers? http://www.tridentmilitary.com/Boots.htm There is also something along these lines. http://www.sovietarmystuff.com/detail.php?product_id=211 Cheers! - CapaciousZepher
Ginger_Biscuit
http://www.sovietarmystuff.com/detail.php?product_id=211 Just so you know those are Ukrainian boots, be carefull as many/most sellers use a lot of imagination with their product descriptions! The Trident ones are a good option but if they are a bit costly for you try Red Soldier for Russian 'look' boots. Hope that helps you out, Biscuit

I guess they're widely used by the MVD and several RA members have them and seem to like them. If I recall correctly they're 80USD. I saw them on pics from Soviet-Afghan war and have never seen one for sale anywhere but on occasion see one owned by a member of the forums. I know you can get a 4 cell chi-com (which are pretty scarce compared to the normal 3 cells) but I've never even heard of a 5 cell one. I suspect you may be refering to a soldier made rig which was the most common thing to do during the war. If you could post a pic of the rig you are looking for it would help to narrow the search as there were a wide range of rigs used by the Soviets. Biscuit
Skarclaw
Speaking of which, I think that two of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...52BSI%26otn%3D4 Sewed together with some straps would make a pretty good stand in from some of the rigs you see in photos without butchering a rd54. Grim
Dont get the 5 Cell chicom the pouches dont fit AK mags i got one and it arrived last week. i made the mistake of giving my 3 cell chicom to a friend b4 the 5 cell arrived and he butchered it to put molle on it b4 the 5 cell arrived (which would of suited him better) the 5 cell just about managed to hold 1 M4 mag per cell. I will get i picture up in the next few minutres if i can. Grim
Skarclaw
Was that an AK rig or an SKS rig?
Ginger_Biscuit
That is a damn good idea Skarclaw, especially as '54s are getting harder/more expensive to get hold of. But then again you would be butchering a nice piece of Vietnamese kit to achieve it! Biscuit #EDIT# Grim - that sounds like an sks rig you've got there.
