renegadecow
https://www.facebook.com/umarex/videos/1518131091566185/ GLOCK - PERFECTION We're very proud and happy to announce that UMAREX holds with immediate effect the worldwide exclusive license (except France and all French territories) for GLOCK airguns and airsoft guns! For more information visit http://www.umarex.de (german) orhttp://www.umarex.com (english) Sooo I guess we have two "official" Glocks now depending on where you are. Anyone's guess who the OEM is, hoping WE as a big FU to Cybergun.
bladerunner168
I hope it's Tokyo Marui
Wingmann
I know that I won't have a Glock anytime soon.
Zereck
I don't remember Umarex ever giving license to any WE product. VFC on the other hand...(which would be even more funny)
1st Commando
Although VFC would be first guess it's actually most likely KWC . The reason for this is that it will be available in both 6mm and 4.5mm version
martin.bouda.52
If I remember well there was few weeks ago news on new fully licenced Glock by Cybg, just for France, with VFC as OEM. Which means this will be the same, just licensed by Umarex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dj_komodo
All umarex pistols are KWA, but GBBRs are VFC Really hope that they stick to that but who knows....

vietnammarine
All umarex pistols are KWA, but GBBRs are VFC Really hope that they stick to that but who knows.... Isn't Walter PPQ from VFC? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
blobface
VP9 is from VFC as well. Hopefully we'll see an official (or unofficial) Gen 4 (or gen 5) MOS soon...
Dj_komodo
that's right so its basically another stark arms glock
NonEx
Although VFC would be first guess it's actually most likely KWC . The reason for this is that it will be available in both 6mm and 4.5mm version I actually think this as well Not just because of the dual calibers but the press release picture looks very "KWC" like in finish However, I don't understand how Cybergun can announce they have sealed a world first exclusive licensing deal (did they not?) with Glock and now not even a month later Umarex comes out saying the same? Could Cybergun have sub-leased their Glock license to Umarex for further use or something like that? And it would make no sense if they each got separate licenses from Glock and both use VFC as OEM, that doesn't compute in my brain at least :| Not gonna buy either of their licensed Glocks so Unless GEN4 MOS EDIT: Aaaah! There is a disclaimer in the PDF release! http://www.umarex.de/assets/media/PI-UMAREX-Glock_de.pdf Bottom of page 2 So then Cybergun got licensing deal in France only Which they announced at first but I thought it would expand later on. Guess Umarex cut a cheaper deal with Glock.
hitmanNo2
Cyberscum involved in *fruitcage*ery? Surely not.

Guess Umarex cut a cheaper deal with Glock. What Umarex actually said was that they got "the first Worldwide exclusive" deal with Glock . This is true as Cybergun only got France . You will find that Umarex cannot use the VFC base that Cybergun "commissioned" . I wish it was VFC but instead it's just going to be something less appealing
NonEx
Yeah I posted that in my edit that you quoted
renegadecow
I just realized there's no mention of it being GBB. And since there's also going to be a 4.5mm version, what if they'll just be rebranding Win Gun NBBs?
NonEx
I don't think Glock would approve of that? And I believe KWC had on their front page of their website "COMING SOON" and Glock GBB models on display. Yup, still there KWC Glock "COMING SOON" banner. KWC Glock 4.5mm blowback COMING SOON products. KWC Glock 6mm blowback COMING SOON products. Do I get a cookie? We can share it 1st Commando! Any other bets on who the OEM for these are?
renegadecow
They must have had that coming soon poster for years now. What's odd is they've always had a GBB Glock as far as the early 2000s. Edit: also noticed that's a gen 4 KWC has.
NonEx
Which makes it all the easier for Umarex/Glock to approach KWC and go "Hey, we shall release this under our name, license it and take half of the profit!" They've done most of the work already I guess. 99.99% sure the Umarex ones will be KWC Glawks. I could just tell from the press release image alone. And observe the trigger position in the KWC banner pic and the trigger position in the press release pic
icolater
What are the chances the KWC glock will be any good? I had the Colt usmc by KWC and it shot nice and hard with co2, it was as ugly as hell though.
renegadecow
KWCs are ok for the price. The tough part is nobody makes parts for them and this is going to be over $200.
harborne blue
If they're C02, <350fps and full trades... I'm in! If not, I'll stick with my KSC.
NonEx
Well, I always considered KWC a low tier brand in airsoft but I think I've made it clear how I feel about their 1911 CO2 series. But that's a fairly "simple" thing to replica and make it look and feel decent. Not so sure these Glocks will live up to expectations. :|
IAmHated
given vfcs ties to umarex i fully expect these to be starks which im fine with, i own a boatload of starks and have had few issues with them.....hopefully this will re-kickstart starks and we'll get to see a premium steel g34
