venom1100
MSurber90's post reminds me of this thing Tad on the expensive side though
Kyrian_Zenda
I quite like that, actually. If someone could do a cheaper replica of that...makes me wish I was a prop maker.
Brick
They were the SJS (Special Judicial Squad) whose mandate was to eliminate or arrest dodgy Judges, iirc instituted in the comics after Chief Judge Caligula went nuts. I might have a go at that one myself, I'll see if I can find some better stills and go from there.
Leadmill
Anyone here good at kit ident? I know those are Crye BDU's but they don't do them in Urban. Mask in an M40A1. Thats as much as I know.
spetsnazdave87
Are they definitely Crye's? You could get sew-in kneepads maybe and improvise a rad mod shirt?
PlasticMag
Easiest route: Tru-Spec TRU combat shirt (or equivalent, don't think they make it in urban) Urban pants with Crye kneepads installed Crye Gen 1 chassis Blast belt Droplegs and other stuff as you find them IBH with dual-tube NODs
Grim
And a pair of green nomex flight gloves. They could have at least rendered some pouches on to the chassis. And whatsthe point in the molle drop leg panel if theres nothing on it? Grim
PlasticMag
To look cool, I suppose. Looks stupid to me too.
ED-SKaR
And whatsthe point in the molle drop leg panel if theres nothing on it? Notice there is nothing on ANY of the molle, not even a single MP5 mag!
TheKurodaVagrant
They might not be done with the model, there could be randomly generated pouches that will go on the models later. Or they're just super lazy. I'd say find an old pair of Urban BDUs and mod the hell out of them so they look vaguely like Crye stuff.
Leadmill
I'm guessing the panels will have additions randonly generated. The marines will be using random face/voice generation software too so maybe it extends to loadout. I have some old Urban BDU's from my Adrian Shepard kit so I could start with modding those. Do they make Chinasoft copies of things like the chassies? As i've heard Crye kit can be pricey.
spetsnazdave87
Flyye do very good copies.
Leadmill
It seems ehobbyasia has pretty much everything flyye chassie and accessories wise, cheers spetsnaz!
spetsnazdave87
No worries mate, but remember that 'medium' in flyye terms means 'might fit a dwarf if he went on a diet'. Go at least a size up IMHO.
faramon
I don't know if they do Leadmill sized he is pretty *fruitcage* tall ... This going to be for any event coming up or something future planned mate?
Leadmill
Yeah, i'm about 6'3 so will have to look up specs for "X-Large". Reason it caught my eye is I was looking for another urban-eque loadout I can wear when I don't want to skirmish in ARU kit, I loved Half Life so thought this might be fun. Might be fun for an Expo too.
faramon
Hah will be good to see it int he future, I am actually doing a Praying Mantis PMC for expo because I had no idea what to do on the day I am not doing Kenshin plus Asten is doing some MGS costumes.
spetsnazdave87
Looks they do have pouches:
Grim
that render does look alot better with the pouches Grim
Leadmill
I'll be looking out for you Kieren! To make the loadout actually skirmishable that pouch layout will probably be a good base for what to attach. Do they do dummy NVG's btw?
millest
just caught up on xmen 3, i know im well behind the times, but there troops on alcatraz have a rather funky looking ACU plate carrier. has anyone seen it or its like availible commercially? had a look about but cant find anything cheers millest
SabreMK42
*warning paintball content* Anyone else think this would be a good helmet/mask for a futuristic loadout, I'm considering buying one http://www.ansgear.com/PhotoDetails.asp?ShowDESC=N&ProductCode=ANGELEYESPAINTBALLMASK-BLACK http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:MT8Ebq_QA6iYKM:http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/RaginCajun55/41e7e884.jpg&t=
Kyrian_Zenda
Wow. That's awesome looking. I'm guessing a more high-tech approach would work.
T3CH
Hmmm combine that with the right helmet and you've got a rough spartan/odst helmet
faramon
+1 T3CH this is exactly what I said, very tempted to get one.
