rvlyssup
Tempting...though the thought of the package trying to go through US Customs is just plain scary to say the least.

tquilha
Functional is quite a big thing. Now I need to know: is it Useable? Strange, my wallet just tried to hide...
Horsem4n
It's probably CMOS technology much akin to those "Spy Gear" ones. I was going to take the pair i have and transplant it into a more respectable case and mount it to my bucket, but this is a short cut ill be picking up asap.
kapitan_jay
"Working" is relative. You will see nothing if you are playing a night game outside.
Horsem4n
correct, unless there is far off flood lights, a REALLY bright moon or you have an good infrared torch, these things would be as useless as your eyes. or probably more so.
carbonfibreguy
Meh. It undoubtedly has a tiny sensor, which is no good for low light. Maybe put a larger one in there with a good lens and I'd be interested.
jkpics
This is the Chinese way, make something good enough to sell, then use the profit to make a better product along the way.
hitmanNo2
Surely they're already making milspec NODs? I'm sure I've seen their military with cloned PVS7s. I want in on that.
HardcoreCook
Interesting, is this a gen1 or a gen2?
Interficium
Interesting, is this a gen1 or a gen2? gen .
cazboab
It look like its very low grade active IR digital night vision. Essentially a cheap digital camera with a filter taken out and an IR LED on the side, or in terms of the generations, pre gen 0, like the kind of level it was at in early world war 2, only small enough to use. Jimmypie
I'd prefer the original world war 2 version, however big it is, or a big Russian water cooled set. This looks utter gash.
QDRenegade
While I dont want this, I find it interesting. I hope this gets bought up quick enough to warrant some more companies hopping on board. There is a nice price point gap between $200 and $2000 for any manufacturer to come in and make a tactical looking unit that is good enough for airsoft. I would be curious what they could do at the $400 price point given that their units probably only cost $200-$250 of that.
jal3
200 USD is too much imho. For that price (remember tax) you can get a better gen1 with headmount. They don't really amplify either, but its about resolution and lens quality. With a weapon mounted IR light, it's great fun in airsoft, absolutely worth the money.

Jimmypie
"Looks amazing as long as your focusing on a toilet at distances of 3 feet or less" Quoted from a buddy of mine, this looks awful.
cazboab
It looks okay as a replica of a pvs14, as an actual functional item, it is just a toy, but since the actual toy versions cost about half the price if you shop around, and a gen1 scope will only cost a few notes extra... Gigueand
and a gen1 scope will only cost a few notes extra... Exactly my thoughts. Why not just spend a few extra bucks and get a real Gen1 unit... Or better yet, don't play at night and just buy moar gunz!!!

Android
The first 12 seconds of this video reinforces what I suspected: this is like the Eyeclops gen 1 NVG I've seen in toy stores. Horrible eye relief (since it's an LCD screen a couple inched from your eye) and useless without an external IR light. I might as well try figure out a way to attach my MW2 NVG's on my helmet.
