Agent Hunk
The dude in Tri-Co is probably SF. Its quite possible they would still be using a RAV.

I have never seen just a blank one, although I am sure they make them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're kidding, right? In my experience, they come plain as standard. Check out the pic of me a few pages back. It has the plain back.
NoRemorse
As in Velcro panel? RAV's have attachment panels for the back. In that pic of the guy in DCU's, it does not look like a back panel but more like part of the vest.

Jorge14
Do Rangers use the Maritime or Land version of the CIRAS? It's probably Maritime I just wanted to make sure. Edited August 29, 2007 by Jorge14

It's probably Maritime I just wanted to make sure. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eagle PCs, as for CIRAS rigs, I wouldnt know...havent seen any, Im probably wrong.
dolla billz
I'malmost positive its Land. See how he has the outer cumberbund flap?
Jorge14
I'm basing my impression on the guys wearing the PCUs. https://www.infantry.army.mil/75thranger/content/photos.htm I wanted to base a kit around a RG carrier (Doesn't matter but I would prefer a CIRAS, if not then I'll use an Eagle PC) since I was able to get a RG MAP. IronWolf
https://www.infantry.army.mil/75thranger/im...cture%20015.jpg One of the guys has a multicam backpack and tan gear, Army SF doing joint ops?
Loe
soldiers can buy multicam gear. its getting pretty used over seas. Just because its multicam doesnt mean its sf. The 4th ID has been training/testing with multicam.
IronWolf
Fair enough, but it was my understanding that the RLCS kit issued to Rangers consisted of gear in the Ranger green colour (please correct me if i'm wrong) which they are quite strict about. And, since the chap in the middle is wearing tan gear (ala SFLCS gear) I thought it possible that he may be something other then a Ranger? Edit: spelling Edited August 29, 2007 by IronWolf
Loe
Its very possible, but seeing as he is mixing in. Probably just a ranger that change kit. As rules ect in the box get tossed out the window as much as possible
Jorge14
What vest are those guys wearing? I was thinking the PC with cummerbund but the buckles are confusing me.
raabhimself
You are correct. But there is more than one manufacture for the rlcs carrier. I have also seen the RRS-V being used with the rlcs back panel. Underneath that, they are wearing the PACA lo vis carrier in ranger green. If you need more info, just PM me. Light Fighter
As far as the multicam pack, could just be the soldiers likes the pack and no one has told him to ditch it yet. My cousin has been using an ATS Tactical multicam cobra pack and some MC pouches on his IBA for a couple months. He said hes going to continue doing it until his CSM tells him to ditch it.
