TerranCmdr
Ah man, there goes next month's rent payment.... =/ Any idea when this will be available in the states?
rolling-thunder
Question is: How do you add the mag catch guard onto the R85A1? Having used the Academy and the G&G L85A1 the mag dropping issue annoys me (like the FAMAS mag issue). What makes me not want to get it is essentially just that small detail. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rest the mag on an ammo pouch & check it religiously every few seconds to make sure it's still in your weapon.I never lost a mag even when it got scary in a shooty way.No one ever allowed me to fix bayonet in anger but i know not to rest the muzzle on a wall when a Bayonet is fixed{oh that's right we have no need of the bayonet in airsoft}. Does anyone make a BFA for one of these guns for use in a safe zone or do i have to ebay a real one{if i can find one}
Lef
Great review FarEast, really in depth and detailed. I've always wanted an L85 replica, but the STAR one was 600 freaking dollars and the G&G one had mechanical problems.
Freypal
Fantastic review FarEast. I've been wanting an L85 replica for ages but couldn't bring myself to pay £3-400 for a G+G / Star one which both have reported faults. If it turns out to be reliable il be purchasing one ASAP! Pilko
I have a feeling these are gonna run out fast... I wonder if they'll make an A2 version? GnG have so it'll just be a question of copying a few parts.
maccrage
They probably will. The official pic has R85A1 and R85A2 in the lower left corner.
Pilko
Will a normal 8.4V mini fit into the foregrip?
lolouis
nice review, you know de power fps ? thank
FarEast
Will a normal 8.4V mini fit into the foregrip? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No this is why they made the custom battery. these can be easily made yourself though from standard 8.4 volt batteries.
FarEast
Ok, I have so far passed 4500 rounds through the Army R85 swiching randomly between fully Auto and Semi-Auto with mixed types of firing. I have also been recyling the BB;s from out of the catch bin without cleaning them and so far no problems what so ever, this is without disabling the EBB action either. Killian
Would a real SA80 foregrip fit this replica? Like one on this auction: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=180115462107 Thanks.
FarEast
To be honest I wouldn't know. I can see if the STAR version will fit the R85 as STAR makes a new version foregrip.
falconfour4
any chance of some pics of the blowback mech. perhaps somone can identify if its different / modified from the weak G&G version, the hook was the weak point wasnt it??

Pilko
That's the Army Code A2 advert, not Army

Lance Jackass
FarEast - any chance that you could drop in a 328fps spring and just see what happens please? Or see if the gears are TM compatible. I'd imagine for a lot of people that would be an important point. That and whether the tappet plate is TM compatible. many thanks, LJ
Killian
Will a normal 8.4V mini fit into the foregrip? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You could buy this custom battery from WGC, this one will fit (but it's rather expensive): http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...0GGL85_srch_L85
