Hedganian
Hmmm.... Nice piece, but terrible stance - if that was a real Desert Eagle and you fired it there, you'd take your head off with the recoil...
Simo_Hayha
Absolutely. Â In spaces that tight Id never want to be carrying/using such a monster. In airsoft, however, the DE seems to have this mystique about it. People are definitely intimidated regardless of the fact that its stock TM and run on duster gas. Hedganian
Yeah, it just looks mean. I pretty much stopped using mine, though, after I got my twin USPs...
STUNTMAN
Guys, some help here, please. Â I got one IMI Tavor TAR 21 form Ares, and i want to paint it Desert tan (like batle worn). Â Have you seen one? Have you painted one? Â Please don't forget me!!!
Hedganian
Firstly, why not just buy the brown one in the first place, is that's the colour you wanted? Â Secondly, just get some Krylon the colour you want, mask off the parts you don't want to be brown, and spray away. Â Thirdly, yes, I've seen plenty of Tavors in Desert Tan. They look like this: Â Â Hope that helps.
-Drake-
All this talk of tavors has just reminded me to post an updated shot of mine. Â Now with Shorter CTAR barrel =] Â Â Also finally got it working as it should by just buying another gearbox and slotting it in...
Hedganian
I prefer the look of the longer barrel
QDRenegade
All this talk of tavors has just reminded me to post an updated shot of mine. Â Now with Shorter CTAR barrel =] Â Â Â Also finally got it working as it should by just buying another gearbox and slotting it in... Â Clicked this thread on accident. Now I really want one! Also, the effect on that photo is a little over the top but holy ###### it looks amazing. Props! Edited November 29, 2011 by crackisbad picture removed
Hedganian
Please don't quote pics. Especially directly under the post you're quoting. There's no point. Edited November 28, 2011 by Hedganian
STUNTMAN
Hedganian... i got one non/tan TAVOR, but i don't want to paited tan... i want to do something like this paint job: Â Â So, did you or someone see a custom tavor paited tan?
Corrigan
Drake: That looks fantastic. I'm a sucker for anything with a short barrel.
Hedganian
That just looks like it's not been treated properly and generally abused. Sure, a weapon will get a few scratches over time, but a good soldier cares for his weapon and takes care of it, so it can take care of him.
renegadecow
Nah, that looks like it was just not primed properly and the paint came off easy. For a real good looking used effect paintjob, there's this: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/195808-how-to-get-the-afghan-and-back-look/ Just start off by base coating the whole gun in tan then do the weathering effects. Hedganian
What difference does that make? Do what *YOU* want to do, it doesn't matter what other people have done.
STUNTMAN
Yeap, you got a point! Thanks! Let's see what gonna come from there! Â See ya guys!
Jimmypie
What difference does that make? Do what *YOU* want to do, it doesn't matter what other people have done. Â Go easy, the guys asking if anyone has kryloned there Tavor, and what it looks like, for inspiration maybe.
-Drake-
This any good Stuntman =] ? Â Â Cheers Corrigan the short barrel really makes it feel that little bit more maneuverable indoors plus I don't recall ares selling a short barreled version of the OD railed tar with a short barrel so its sort of unique I suppose. double_a
No, but I should take some more, 'cause that one's a bit old now and I've made some changes.
Rogue845
Is Ares ever going to release a rear scope rail for the Tavor? I just want to be able to mount a magnifier like that Israeli soldier.
