Soba
Paint was done with a base layer of Medium Brown and a lite top coat of Sand dune except on the vertical grip and RIS where Sand Dune was used as a base and Medium Brown was the top coat. -Soba

Jagdraben
Were you using Krylon Camouflage spray paint? Where did you find Medium Brown, if so?
Soba
Were you using Krylon Camouflage spray paint? Where did you find Medium Brown, if so? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes I was using Krylon Camo paint. I'm military and they had that color at the BX (base exchange). To give you more info its 8147 Medium Brown and if your hard ware store carries krylon they should be able to order that color for you. -Soba

Already tried all of them. So... next time my Dad wants to make a run for garrison covers, I guess that I'll have to remember to come along and swing by the PX.

spetsnazak
Painted, but not a lot Ignore the white bit at the front, it's a laser diode mounted in a cheap torch that came with a springer. I just need a little black heatshrink to finish it. (first gun, 1 week old)
Oliver Twist
Has anybody had any luck using an Airbrush for painting guns instead of a spray can? And if so, what brand of paint do you use? I just think an airbrush would allow much more control and would make patterns so much easier.
Tommygunn
I originally did some of my guns with a Badger airbrush and used Humbrol enamel model paints in matt. Then I switched to a more realistic(mil-sim) Krylon spray can as you don't need control if your imitating the real deal. Soldiers are not artists. hendrix
hey i was just wondering if anyone has tried baking there metal parts(i.e. metal bodies and such) and if so have you ahd any excess with it lasting longer. If it does help i was also curious to know if its as simple as painting your item, letting it dry and baking it for a while.

Souske
Awsome paint job guillom. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 2x Finally got it to get it to fire at 350 fps with a KM 100M spring, Systema oiless bushings, and new shims. Both suppressors work extremely well with the higher FPS, as higher FPS = louder report (slightly), and the suppressor I made dampens them quite well.
trfo2o
I liked the previous paintjob.
