Fightingchook
Admin... please move if you have a better place for this On many occasions I’ve been asked for tours and give access to discounts to visiting friends and random ppls. And even on the odd occasion I’ve received a phone call at 11am… “dude Help!... I gota cheak out of hotel at 12… I have a 20kg luggage limit for flight out… and I have 50kgs of airsoft!” lol. While generally I don’t mind doing this and is also good to meet new ppls… sometimes I’m just not available or not want to get off my *albatross* for anything… eg: too sore, currently having 2 or 3 games a week and I’m not getting in recovery time… lol. One of the first problems visitors have, is they head out shopping at 9 or 10am… only to find out they have to wait 4 hours for the shops to open…lol The other strange fact is… 90% of the shops have the same address being 1 Kwong Wa St. And in the past I have meet a visiting kiwi… thinking he was shopping at gunners. I soon pointed out the shop he was in, wasn’t gunners… and if you head down that way and around the corner you get a better discount there. Although I did end up selling him stuff even cheaper than anything on the street. So… listed below is your map to the Airsoft (shopping) capital of the world. Addresses, opening times for most are listed. And a few staff names to help you get a foot in the door. Most have reasonable English, the poorer ones noted, but don’t hold it against them… can be fun tryin and remember… you in there country Customer Service (CS) can vary pending on shop, staff, and you. But repeat offenders do get noticed. And Range varies pending on shop. EG: an A in the CA shop means they stock all the CA range… whereas and A in a Surplus shop means they have a ton of uniforms, vests, pouches, patches and bags etc. I will try to update every six months or so, as quite often some shops move, close and new ones open. Just over CNY, one shop split into 2… and 2 others moved. Ph and emails were removed at the request of several shop owners to avoid spamming. But are listed… somewhere… =P Ok… the end result... ;D Airsoft capital... of the world! Missing out marine shop? tongue.gif The guy there has always been pretty nice to me, lol, let me borrow his tools when I messed up my gearbox, and let me fix it in his shop without asking for money.. sorry sirrth.. and thxs... point taken. he must have been having a bad day when i poped in. Every one will get different results. Bad customer service can come from many causes... Pending on what staff, how busy they are, what shop rules are in force... and your attitude for example War-4 has a sad shop rule that you not allowed to get out pen and paper and write down anything instore... which when caught... just creates aggravation. and Den ... always been good to me... but heard several complaints from others. so don't read to much into the results above... until you experience it yourself. I will edit and add the Marine shop at a later date. FC

KWP
sorry sirrth.. and thxs... point taken. he must have been having a bad day when i poped in. Every one will get different results. I will edit and add the Marine shop at a later date. FC Yes, you should add Marine Shop to the list. He's best in Customer Service. Just like sirrith experienced, the boss at Marine Shop also gave me tools for free to repair my AEG, when he was booked out and couldn't make it on time. He's an old dog in the local Airsoft scene, not so much as a businessman but as an Airsofter. People know him. That makes him a good chat to get infos about what's latest in Airsoft development and stuff. I've spent some time in HK now and can say Customer service in HK's Airsoft shops have changed, not improved. In general, once established top notch shops like Den, War4, GnG and AF pay more attention to customers nowadays as a heck lot of competition has grown from new shops selling cheap China guns and accessories, but you can still see who has $$$ signs in their eyes and who is an Airsofter in heart. The most radical change was the S3 shop. Once a glossy top-of-the-heap shop selling only the finest brands and latest products, they deciced to jump on the cheap China bandwagon and sell only low-end products. Their showroom now looks like a messy bedroom of a 15 year old teenager and smells like a pub. Customers service? I don't know. I think even the local residents know better shops for China knock-offs. Sad story about S3.

Mike_West
409Shop is also great when it comes to mail orders, I needed adapters for my radio (so I can use Motorola headsets with them) and they sourced them without problems. They have throat mikes and other things too, so I think I'll get in touch with them again.
rudysw2
I'm a Brit based in Macau and this is priceless for me - cheers for effort FC. Is MC also known as Moscow? Got some well-priced DPM stuff from him and he seems a decent bloke - I don't know how he knows where everything is given how piled-up all is stuff is... His pricing is also very competitive compared to the surplus stores on Dundas St. I've found Armed Forces to be OK as a gwailo - no fuss and the young lad always dressed in black is always happy to help and answer questions. CA I've found to be friendliest, except for the girl in there. Generally business-like and not a lot of time for you in most of the other places I've been in. Again, it's all about personal experiences, eh? What's happened to Boom Arms? Have looked for them a couple of times but no joy: their MICH 2000s are supposed to be worth a look, I hear... Personally i think if you declaring your "toy" your asking to lose it... if not just adding hassles that are over nothing. although not declaring and getting caught breaking laws could have the same result. I know of a AUG the was declared going into the UK and it disappeared from the suitcase without notice. and a un-declared AK was suitcase whole into Canada without incident. into NZ for example your cases will be x-rayed just before you leave the customs and i know of many striped down toys passing with no problem. although.. if you get caught with an apple orange or banana... you are breaking the law... and you could be fined $10.000... lol. if possible... strip your toy into a few pieces so it doesn't look like what its not... eg: a real gun. still if you really worried... its easy enough to post it back. i'm having a busy week... so will try update the list next week. considering adding in the other airsoft shops... and other shopping places of interest. eg: phone malls, computer malls, radio etc etc... anyone else what to know where to buy "other" stuff here?? oh.. it think Boom Arms disappear 5 or 6 years ago... I vaguely remember it. i think. correct me if i'm wrong. FC
