Schnitzel with noodles - what made you smile today?

Having dealt with several insurance claims for taxi drivers, I'm not surprised some of them are nasty/harsh/horrible. Doesn't condoe them but, I can definitely see how a person could become nasty, after dealing with some shady members of the public.

Just thought I'd be the walrus in the room, for a bit.

Edit:- happy thread so something happy. Getting a tooth replied out, finally (after years of dentist saying this/that/other and getting my new gp involved) and in a hospital (as it may have fused with the skull, it can happen when an infection has been festering in your gob for years).

That's an interesting and gory fact.

My happy:

The book I've been waiting years for is going up for pre-order on Friday, so it'll be a birthday present to myself.

I know pre-orders are generally not a good thing but I know I'm buying it anyway and want it so I can start making use of it more easily than the scans I've seen (and support the creators rather than freeload).

Nice, what book?

Put some more beer in to brew last night.

Came home today to signs of healthy fermentation happening. :)

Forge World's Horus Heresy: Inferno.

For anyone uninitiated it's a more specialist branch of Games Workshop and this series depicts a brutal civil war in the far future between superhumans. And this particular book details my chosen army and their actions in this war.

I went shopping yesterday, got myself a new winter jacket and a pair of headphones for my mobile.

The jacket works just fine (although it's a little... snug), and the headphones... Well, maybe Qilive is a budget brand, but they sound pretty good and the previous pair served me for quite some time. And those are wired for a mobile phone, with a microphone and pick up button.

Hmmm, if I still played Space Marine MP, I'd repaint my character into Iron Man, now that you mention it.

Honestly, doesn't take much room to do a simple extract brew.

5 gallon fermentation bucket in the kitchen and a couple of plastic totes full of bottles keeping cool in the garage. Ancillary equipment in a box the size of a shoebox.

I don't have a garage :(

STOP *fruitcage* TAUNTING ME WITH YOUR *fruitcage* GARAGES!

Ginge: You're a legend. Don't believe what the others say about you.

Scorch: Have you looked at the bewdog DIY dog stuff? They've got 90% of their 'recipes' on there. Looks very good, and as and when I get started I'll be trying a few of them.

So Halfords currently have a promo code out that gives you £15 off your order of tools ("WORK15" if you're interested)... surprisingly they don't have a minimum spend, so as long as your order is £15 or under it's free.. I just made 6 separate orders all for little nick nacks I need.

Not sure if I should feel guilty for taking advantage of the loophole or triumphant for getting free stuff.

One thing is for sure they're gonna think im taking the tomorrow when I go to collect everything!
