Mike_West
LMAO at the "do it yourself" trades. Although, I might give it a shot someday.
scorch
If it really is WE, I'll wait till I see one in the wild. It's less than half the price of the TM, so has to be worth a go if it's alright.
blobface
Placed an order with the trade stickers, fingers crossed, let's hope we haven't bought yet another paper weight. Will give a brief update when I receive it in 2-3 weeks time.

DarkLite
I had a fondle of this. The foregrip is pretty flimsy, but otherwise it seemed nice. Truth be told I'm somewhat tempted.
Habakure
What was the plastic like to the touch, Darklite?
Tisane
If that's not WE I'm a Frenchman. For that price I think I'm gonna end up with 2 full size MP7s...lol But I have a feeling just like HK3 they will be gone just as quickly as they arrived, or rare as rocking horse plop! bankz5152
It does look interesting. If performance prevails I may pick one up, yet it has to out do my KWA... Though at full size this 'cheap' MP7 should give obsessive 1:1 chaps their fill (and skirmishable) rather than dropping $$$$$ on the VFC which can do nothing but hand walls. DarkLite
Haba, it was ok, just like the standard we smg8. The only real issue was that the plastic was a bit thin around the foregrip, leading to some significant flex.
whiteknight
i wonder is it the same weight as the vfc which is considerably lighter than the kwa /ksc
NonEx
Just me or does the frame material looks like it marks easily ? Or is that correct as per RS material ?
blobface
Or is that correct as per RS material ? Dude it's $180.
NonEx
I didn't mean that it was using RS materials but if it marked as the RS does, if it does. From the pics of this product it looks scratched and marked a lot.
NonEx
Here are some unboxing pictures if anyone is intereted. Also pics of trademark plates in place; http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http://www.arms-cool.net/forum/thread-148521-1-1.html&usg=ALkJrhhICzt3wJur08noZ7yU749Q3V8YTg
blobface
Looks nice enough, the only thing that raised my eyebrow a little was the "trusses" behind the skeleton stock bars, which I believe isn't something that's found on the real one, but it's a tiny non-issue. The guy also said gas efficiency is improved, so... look forward to receiving mine, with Chinese New Year being in a few days, doubt I'll get it until more or less April.. Tisane
That bolt is EXACTLY the same as the VFC, the only difference is the tip of the nozzle on the VFC is recessed quite a lot.
Zereck
Here is a comparison between the VFC and New Wave by WGC: https://www.facebook.com/wgchk/media_set?set=a.266218500203292.1073741828.100004454315497&type=1 Also according to WGC the weights are: Real steel(with empty mag): 1900g VFC: 1845g New Wave: 2400g
Tisane
That's funny VFCs site has it listed as considerably lighter. Edit Just weighed mine, gun is 1385g mag is 500g so total weight is 1885g, the RS is 1900g empty with a further 200g I believe for a loaded 40rnd mag so both fro the RS would be 2100g. So the VFC with mag in is only 15g off the RS weight, without a mag, but a full 215g off for both loaded. The weights for mine are as near as damn it with kitchen scales....lol
NonEx
So is this a VFC clone scaled up or a WE "clone" ? Seeing as it does take WE mags it would make more sense to be WE. But someone said the bolt looked exactly like VFC ?
Tisane
No that is 100% WE, its SMG 8 "compatible" in other words an SMG 8 inside. I'd be interested to see a SMG 8 bolt though. The WE Apache range has striking internal similarities to the VFC MP5s, it wouldn't surprise me if WE got hold of parts of if not all of both the MP7 and MP5.
Im going space
New Wave is a disposable name. This comes in a WE box...
NonEx
Ah right, maybe I missunderstood, you meant just the bolt I thought because the bolt was similar that it maybe was VFC based.
Tisane
Id put money on the fact that if the nozzles are interchangeable that the WE bolt would fire in the VFC.
