scorch
My body feels like I've had the *suitcase* kicked out of me. And my girlfriend is being hard work this afternoon.
Got Wood?
Gave someone a lift whilst doing some more film work and this happened. At least he paid for the cleaning of it
hitmanNo2
Please tell me that's not vomit...
Hedganian
I strongly suspect it is.
amateurstuntman
When I was 18 my little sister got drunk and vomited down the passenger air vent in my MKII Golf. The car smelled bad, forever.
Hedganian
Oh, that's just wrong...
hitmanNo2
Another thing to be wary of is the seat belt. I read a thread on a car forum about a guy trying to get rid of the smell of vomit from his car. He had the dash out, cleaned all the air vents e.t.c. The main residual culprit was the seatbelt. Vomit gets on that, winds back inside, all up in spooled mech. Nasty. Time is of the essence when cleaning vomit before it all permeates and the acid does damage.
shmook
Take off and nuke the car from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Habakure
*fruitcage*in a. Vomit gets everywhere.
sir naggedalot
Bicarbonate of soda is great for neutralising smells.
hitmanNo2
Meant to post this yesterday. Anyway. I had to pick the day the EDL decided to descend on my town to do a bit of shopping didn't I. More police than I've ever seen in my life. They had called in support from two counties over. Even more than I've seen on TV in the aftermath of the various terror related atrocities. Madness. Blocking off roads. Most inconvenient.
shmook
*fruitcage* da police.
Hedganian
*fruitcage* violent racist scumbags holding "protests" that require so much police intervention.
hitmanNo2
It was quite amusing as I gtfo before it all kicked off so all I saw was about 20 counter EDL protesters in the middle of a hundred or so PCs scattered about.
Got Wood?
We're any of them armed with Muslamic ray guns?
Tinkerton
Smell of petrol. Smoke when I opened the bonnet. Left it at home and took my other car to church. Turns out there's a perished fuel pipe, and vw in their infinite wisdom put the fuel injectors above the exhaust manifold... Thank god it didn't catch fire.
DeltaZero
Nothing half as bad as the geniuses at Iveco.. seriously the *suitcase* they come up with is absolutely atrocious. Take a simple task and complicate the *fruitcage* out of it. At least it's not too hard a fix!
Habakure
Designed by committee. Lego on the floor, so I side step it but land straight on to a wall pin. Nice.
hitmanNo2
We're any of them armed with Muslamic ray guns? Sadly, no Muslamic ray guns were spotted.
shmook
Designed by committee. Lego on the floor, so I side step it but land straight on to a wall pin. Nice. So... Less painful result then!
Habakure
Less swearing definitley. Edit:- This seems to happen every six months or so. Might start taking bets.
Mike_West
Unbelievable. I tried to use the official Brussels public transport trip planner to figure out how exactly I'm supposed to get from my hotel to Manneken Pis, but the bloody thing runs just awful. Seriously, we have a third-party thinger like that for several major city public transport services, and it runs faster and is more versatile than that Belgian "chocolate" (if you catch my drift). Lone_Bullet
Weird. 'De lijn' and 'B-rail' app work as they should for me. Is it any other you mean?
Mike_West
Weird. 'De lijn' and 'B-rail' app work as they should for me. Is it any other you mean? This thinger: http://www.stib-mivb.be/tripplanner/?l=en It got slightly more cooperative now, but in the morning, it was either unresponsive or taking awfully long to calculate the route. DeltaZero
O/S/F suspension coil just just collapsed on my way home from work.. Just as I was going home to get the car remapped so I've had to cancel that and am now sat on the side of the road trying to explain to various RAC personnel that it is the front suspension that has collapsed and a regular front wheel tow bar on a usual van won't work as it will cause more damage. They have asked me how I know etc and apparently me telling them im a mechanic and have already pinpointed the fault isn't good enough. *albartrotheth*. I hate waiting for recovery vehicles to arrive.
