Vektor
But I just wonder whether the TM or the KSC will have better aftermarket parts for it... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, measuring by sheer number of aftermarket parts, I bet Marui will be the winner. But since both guns are 1911s, which is a platform lots of parts manufacturers are used to pushing different tidbits for, both guns will get the essential upgrade & reinforcement parts in fairly short period after actual gun release. I bet it takes a month, tops. Hmmm, the idea of 1911 .45 GBB which actually spits big BBs might sound cool for some, altough 8mm´s skirmish ballistics aren´t that great. Then again, Marushin has their selective & devoted buyers anyway, so I doubt Marushin isn´t really seriously competing in the same market segment as Marui or KSC. How does that Marushin´s new blowback mech work? Anyone have experience with their Automag GBBs? Altough, that gun is such huge, that it´s not probably the best reference anyway... Colin_The+Ferret
Also, I'm not sure many people buy a TM Hi-Capa INSTEAD of a WA SVI <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I actualy know long term WA users who have dumped highly tuned SVIs in favour of out of the box Hi_Capas.
hitmanNo2
I actualy know long term WA users who have dumped highly tuned SVIs in favour of out of the box Hi_Capas. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why would they do that?
JCYC5
Can't find the KJW 1911 in HONG KONG. As for KSC vs TM... I am almost certain that the TM will win in the long run, given the abundance of parts that will be available...
snowman
Hitman, Presumably they find the TM's long range accuracy better. Nothing else is... Cheers.
Lance Jackass
KJW colt .45 - isn't that the one at airsoft armouries? Well i'd go for KSC. They're glocks worked great for me, whereas TM pistols seem a bit tacky to me. Even if it has 14 bbs i'd still go KSC. Although theres more chance of a metal kit coming on the market for the TM. Or a full metal, green gas drinking WA when i win the lottery/start earning big.
snowman
AA have a KJW Para Ordnance, but that's a double stacker 1911 style gun, rather than the slim, single stacker 1911 proper. Cheers.
DarkLite
I thought that the whole "Hicapa range thing" was a bit subjective and probably not that impressive. Then I got hit by a WE Hicapa 3.8 from 60-70m. That learned me.
Lance Jackass
I'm sure AA had KJW m1911s (as in unchanged 1911A1 design) a while back, about the same time as the STTI M4s. But they're not on the site any more...
Guest
IIRC, it was the plastic version of the KJW para ord with the wrong pic.
srider_uk
AH well look like cheapo's like me will hav to wait for a HFC full metal clone as the KJW is non existence now
Crazy_Harry
also, the chances of KSC going for a KWA metal slide/barrel version without the trades will encourage a lot of the bargain hunters to go with them- I find KSC guns a bit hit-and-miss, personally- adore the beretta range, but find some of their other offerings inexcusibly below-par- but a KWA metal slide varient for under $150 might find its way into my gun bag
BakaBox
If anything, I'll buy Marushin's model. 8mm = win.
DarkLite
Wait for HFC's compensated full metal TM M1911a1 copy.
Guest
For anyone that hasn't seen the other thread yet, the KSC M1911 is going to be in the shops (HK) on 15/05/06. Or 6 days
davedawg123
Price?
Guest
http://www.mojji.com/en/fax/fax.htm - 16,500 YEN or £80 or $
davedawg123
BAHH... I don't see what makes it any more special than the KSC USP, besides the fact that I want it. Sheeet. Make it $100 like the USP please.
DrewLawson
I agree with davedawg on this. However i am waiting for WE or HFC to come out with a cheap full metal copy
Sledge
After comparing a WE Hi Capa to my metal-slide TM Capa this weekend, I'd rather get the TM 1911 and put a metal slide on it.
snowman
But you'd need a frame, too, to match and that's a lot of money for a decent metal kit. Cheers.
Sledge
Still worth the cash, if any WE copy of the 1911 handles like the Hi Capa copy.
snowman
Maybe I was lucky/unlucky, but the one I tried was better than the TM... Although, I wouldn't argue the fit and finish were better - I agree a metal converted TM would be BETTER than a WE or HFC, just a LOT more expensive. Cheers.
Shao14
After comparing a WE Hi Capa to my metal-slide TM Capa this weekend, I'd rather get the TM 1911 and put a metal slide on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After comparing my TM Hi capa and WA Kimber, I'd rather get the WA 1911 Magna Tech and put a metal slide on it.
Sledge
Maybe I've been exceptionally lucky with my TM, or my standards are too high, but the WE Hi Capa is pants. Anyhoo, any date on the TM 1911 yet? I lose track.
