Snowbeat
Interesting... CYMA seems to have released a Desert Eagle AEP with a fixed metal slide without telling anyone. here was this announced?

wolfstein5
A whopping 0.35 J, fitting for a Desert Eagle.

transist
Would've been a whole different story if it shot @ 1J with 8mm bbs. lol
CrazyJ
I'd prefer if CYMA made a VZ61 instead of this
EmptyChambers
Don't change mags around other people unless you want them to laugh at you.
Massumma
As ugly as it is, I'm glad to see more innovation on the AEP front, especially from clone companies.
Kirby1986
could be worse. they could have made an ebb 5-7.
my_plague_666
wow. a desert eagle minus the fun, power, noise and sheer intimidation factor that makes them worthwhile.
ED-SKaR
could be worse. they could have made an ebb 5-7. But at least it would hold 20 rounds
gunnermaniac
Yup, saw this last night and though about posting it on the news section but then decided with a 0.35J is was not worth the time. Does look sexy though... How much is 0.35 joules, it's just the cyma 030 is 220 fps and has OK range. Is it around 190 fps? Cheers
Stealthbomber
How much is 0.35 joules, it's just the cyma 030 is 220 fps and has OK range. Is it around 190 fps? Correct. I kinda like the AEP Glock and USP cos they're just small and handy. Making a big, daft AEP that's still puny in power is kinda pointless. Mind you, I have said the KSC Mk23 is pointless for the same reasons. I guess if you already have a gas DE and holster then maybe this would appeal for winter use, to save you buying a new holster etc.
FearBefore
i'm not worried, ever since the cm028s cyma has had two "lines" of products, the cheap *naughty word* lines like all their older stuff and their legitimate clone line which has yet to disappoint me. Edited by Pablo: mind your language please.
Wingman
I think we're going to find that .35 as a error. They've done it before. Eitherway, it's good to have another choice out there. Frankly no GBB, NBB or AEG has ever "intimidated" me. Then again, I've been shooting real guns for over 40 years. I have a TM and HFC GBB Desert Eagle and they are fun to shoot, I will grant you that. Just two weekends ago I was out in the field with about 14 other guys. Weather conditions were temps in the low 30's (f) and snow. The only pistols that lasted the day were the AEP's and a few high end spring pistols that also did quite well. Every single GBB failed during use! There were TM's, KSC's, KWA's and a WA in the bunch. Four of us had CM.030's and every single one made it without a single failure (although my son did end up loosing 2 spare mags). Granted, they still have a long way to go in the power area, but then again they've only been out a few years. I still remember GBB's that barely shot 210 fps and it took awhile before those power figures came up.
Stealthbomber
I think we're going to find that .35 as a error. They've done it before. I doubt it. 0.35J is 190fps and that's roughly what the Cyma G18 shoots at. FWIW, my DE USP AEP (I hate having to write that ) only shoots at 170fps and it's always been fine for both defensive use and for CQB. If I'm out in woodland the noise of the gun firing, and the simple fact that an attacker hears BBs pinging off the surroundings, is enough to make them think twice. People don't hear a BB ping off a tree and think "Oooh, that's kinda weak sounding. I'm okay to carry on moving". They know a hit is a hit and the fear of getting hit slows them down regardless of if it's a hit from an AEP or from a gas hand-cannon. In CQB I've been quite happy to use the USP as a primary and I've never really wished for more power. People can feel their hits and the accuracy has been superb. The only time the USP has been disappointing is on occasions where I've spotted somebody 30-odd metres away and tried to take a shot at them. They really do have opportunity to wait for the BB to fly toward them and then step aside. Not good but still, that's not really what the gun is for. My only gripe with this DE is that, from a practical POV, the DE is larger than it needs to be. There'd have to be a good reason why you'd want to be carrying a DE rather than a USP or G18 that can do the same job. As I say, the only reason I can think of is that it might make a good back-up if you normally use a gas DE. In a logical world, Cyma wouldn't sell many of these cos smart people would buy the smaller guns that do the same job instead and gun bunnies would just buy a cheaper EBB DE instead. Who knows!? demoncase
Interesting... CYMA seems to have released a Desert Eagle AEP with a fixed metal slide without telling anyone. here was this announced? No, because they realised no-one would really care.... badum-tish
Snowbeat
I didn't realize .35 j was so low, whoops. I would've passed it up for posting had I known.
oldman1980
Yeah but at least their G18C was pretty good. I know I love mine on those cold winter days. It's too bad they lost their momentum on their AEP series.
sheptr
It's just SO BIG that to only sling BBs at 200 fps or so with no blowback seems kind of wimpy. If I want practical, I'll buy a G18 AEP or even the USP AEP. This has the same functionality, but the huge size makes it.. ugh. At least when I start shooting my TM DE people tend to get out the way
Royal-Air-Force
When people shoot ANYTHING at me i tend to get out of the way. Rich.
Kirby1986
But at least it would hold 20 rounds 20 rounds from one of the ugliest hunks of plastic you can get your hands on at the moment though.
