Frakk2k
Dunno if this just slipped under the radar, but Rsov has it on its webpage. It includes some voltage nubbin(voltage stablizer electronic board?) And it is a bit more expensive than the Metal Dboys.. http://www.rsov.com/index.php?target=produ...product_id=2653
AirsoftHawaii90
Oh wow, Did anyone notace the Multiple wires?... Look closely at the wires on the Connector, they look like Low resistance wires to me.. Plus, the red wires could indicate a Mosfet unit of some kind..
Frakk2k
Well, if JG has nailed the ROF (1000rpm) it shoots out at a rate of 16,6 bbs per second, and if im not mistaken, that is pretty decent? Could be high cap wires and mosfet fun?
dragonm
So... what's a voltage stablizer electronic board?
EmptyChambers
Its a copy of the old Systema Mosfet board. They weren't that great to be honest. I don't know how JG is going to do with a copy of it.
Magsz
See, despite the fact that the mosfet may or may not be of suspect quality, this is starting to get cool. The chinese are beginning to offer something that no one else offers. Hopefully this is only the beginning of the innovation that they will bring to the sport.
Chris North
What did the Systema board do, and why wasn't it good?
SGCDude
Didn't it basically take the high voltage stress from trigger to eliminate arcing... and provide active braking? IIRC, they were not that great because their components could not handle much power. Am I thinking of something else?
Weirdguy
This new mosfet is good! short review is here http://forums.airsoftmechanics.com/index.php?topic=1307 JG fixed the problems the systema one had

masakarijoe
cool! mosfets coming stock on aegs! gangsta -joe
Pariah_WP
The Systema mosfets worked well to protect your gun. The problem is that occasionally they would short out. They couldn't handle the loads and would fry. If JG has fixed this then this is really good news!
Johnny Sasaki
Pretty cool, it's a nice direction that JG is heading in. If only they'd get rid of those stupid trades, though. I think I'd much rather have a blank lower receiver than the generic "COMMANDO" stamp. The texture on the stock looks really good to me, too. I've never used a JG M4 though, so is this something they've used before, or is that new too?
Dundaien
Any one else notice the listing for "rifle twist" on the little spec tag thingy? I know nothing of JG, just wondering if they put it on there for "realism" or did they actually rifle the barrel?

Pretty much just a common FET setup then, I guess. cool! mosfets coming stock on aegs! gangsta -joe +1 Who would have thought it would have been a Chinese company that started to do it? Although there was the Systema and (I think) Marui 550 and 551 before it...
MDK_Marshal
The marui 550 and 551 had a burst unit. While this MAY have contained a mosfet (never had a poke at one), I'm pretty sure that the burst circuit just cut power after x ammount of shots. Didn't act as a solid-state switch. Which is why you can get an old sig with a burnt out burst unit, and it'll still fire. Just not with burst.
seaweasel
Good stuff, I was wondering when JG were going to do a metal M4. Plus it's cool that they're looking into new features such as the mosfet board, maybe we'll see some burst settings from them soon.

I know nothing of JG, just wondering if they put it on there for "realism" or did they actually rifle the barrel? quite a few boxes have the specs of the real gun on them too as a comparison, I know the JG mp5 I saw did! also is that a car fuse in there? Inq Eisenhorn
I'll be honest, can anyone really stand to see yet another M4.....ok, the MOSFET is nice, but this could have been applied to any other platform that JG could have made......its just getting so #yawn# now.......people must be getting bored with the prosepct of adding yet another M4 to their collections of M4s
Thorbard
When people get fed up of M4s they'll stop buying them, and companies will stop selling them. The people that seem to hate them are just more vocal than the people that are interested in buying them.
NegativeCambre
One of the chimans needs to put out some solid-carry handle AR's. The market is awash with decent removable-carry handle AR's, but pretty devoid of the fixed variety. I'd really like to make a Miami-Vice-esque AR-shorty with a massive 1980's laser on it. Hustie
ahh, so true. I don't mind AR's but I'd much rather have a fixed carry handle version.

Steve I concur full heartedly. I would love to see an older model fixed CH model. It was my first real steel gun. Be nice to have a clone to clonk about with. The mosfet lacks braking though.... what a cop out. True...ish. Still I think that JG's concern is the recent trend towards users plopping a LiPo in there and frying the trigger circuit. They aren't going for a performance upgrade so much as a functional one with this move, me thinks. It would be nice, but if all they want to do is stave off the hordes of newbs that are frying their trigger circuits because they don't know that a 9.6 battery or nastier will toast their trigger than this is a good move. If it is a performance e-penis they are trying for here...not so much. I bet my initial assertion holds true.
