apmaman
Yes, yes wai indeed. It's full metal and on action hobbies for a mear £300. http://www.actionhobbys.co.uk/M99-Barrett-...teel_AOR4A.aspx I can't believe this hasnt been posted yet, or maybe I've just missed it all... johnc2k
I also saw this earlier and was like No info on the brand so have no idea on the internals, but for £300 might be worth the risk
Hammerfall
I seen one of these floating about the forum actually, and the guy wanted a heck of a lot more than £300 for it iirc. Personally APS-2 internals = Fail! So, it is essentially a big ugly paperweight.
L4byr1nth
I dunno, I know a guy with a pretty decent APS... And Laylax still make the parts, so...? Looks sexy! Ben.
Kipper
Yeah these are new. It used to be a conversion kit you dropped APS2 internals into, but now its a completed rifle. The older one fetches near the 1000 mark I think.
Forze
the ACM L96 series uses the APS2 internals & practically everyone & his mother uses one can't wait till someone who ships them outside of UK sells them!
Billy Bob the Sniper
Looks nice. Might have to pic one up.
renegadecow
Personally APS-2 internals = Fail! So, it is essentially a big ugly paperweight. Are you kidding? The farthest I've seen a 6mm bb being chucked out of a barrel came from an APS-2.
Hammerfall
Are you kidding? The farthest I've seen a 6mm bb being chucked out of a barrel came from an APS-2. Then you just ain't seen enough VSRs old boy! Okay, so they're not COMPLETE fail, just not worth it when you consider the other options *VSR cough*
masakarijoe
wow, this is pretty much what i want. anyone have more details on this? -Joe
Horsem4n
there are VSR hop up chamber conversion kits.
Skarclaw
Then you just ain't seen enough VSRs old boy! Okay, so they're not COMPLETE fail, just not worth it when you consider the other options *VSR cough* So basically your point is that because its not a vsr, its pointless, even though its *fruitcage* massive and heavy and impractical, so nobody would be buying it for some ultimate sniping gun anyway. Hammerfall
So basically your point is that because its not a vsr, its pointless, even though its *fruitcage* massive and heavy and impractical, so nobody would be buying it for some ultimate sniping gun anyway. I just don't understand why not make it from VSR internals... i'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult if it can be done with APS-2 stuff. Yeah, fair enough it would still be heavy, impractical and look ugly but at least it could shoot well, that might be some consolation. Where as now it is heavy, impractical, looks ugly and doesn't shoot great. I know which i'd prefer. I am biased though, APS-2 just never worked out for me... so much work, so much money and it was still rather pish. Might've just been my luck though, so i'll leave it there
The General
I would have prefered a semi only AEG to be honest... This looks like a Warrior 2 in wolves clothing. If you get my meaning! Interesting but not £300 interesting.
Pdubyuh
I'm gutted I'm busy at lunchtime or i'd pop in and see it, still theres allways next week A guy at our site had one of the originals it used to scare the suitcase out of the noobs lol.
TheFull9
I would have prefered a semi only AEG to be honest... Can't help but ask why? In an M82 fair enough, but I'd just find that weird in one of these personally.
bitchtits
this will only be usefull for a while, as said they will take aps l96 parts but only some, so unless they release upgraded cylinders your screwed if the origional breaks. as most places stoped making aps2 upgrade parts due to the rifle being discontinued, and the l96 cylinder is different and wont fit in a aps2 designed gun, due to the different bolthandle. also these are the worst looking barretts and are totaly impractical for skirmishing
QQexDERA
Friend of mine had one of the PWD M99's. Nice looking piece of kit, but bloody impractical to skirmish with - not to mention the instant rust as soon as it even spotted a single drop of rain. Trigger feel was ###### due to the remote linkage, and due to the inability to wrap your thumb round the back of the bolt it had a habit of snapping the bolt handle stud off the back of the cylinder when you cocked it with a strong spring in it. Still, as mentioned before, it scared the *suitcase* out of n00bs lol
mrpugster
a polishers dream, but sensible?
my_plague_666
I would have prefered a semi only AEG to be honest... why? the RS is a boltie
slyguyfry
You are only aloud to use this if you stand up and at the top of your lungs yell BOOOM!!!! after each shot.
titanwraith
The next version is the M82A1 but this will be some time as its in testing at present, That version will be electric but with the same steel and alloy constuction, the only prob is by the looks of things it will have auto, i am trying to get them modified to semi only and up the FPS Regards Paul
Horsem4n
You are only aloud to use this if you stand up and at the top of your lungs yell BOOOM!!!! after each shot. lol, you made a funny. i kinda think thing thing is ugly.
L4byr1nth
It's a classic case of too many n00bs saying 'I really wish there was a decent spring BARRETT available, I'd buy a million!!!111one'. Some poor manufacturer took them seriously, and have spent loads on R&D and production. Now none of you will buy it. Not really trying to rock the boat, but it's the truth It's a shame too, it looks really sexy. If I had the money, I'd buy one. Ben.
masakarijoe
i plan on buying a good spring barrett m99 or m95 eventually. but the question remains... is this good? is it skirmishable? is it not only accurate and powerful, but built well enough to survive some very rough handling? thats what i need to know. -Joe
