Something for the ladies? Next you will be keeping Drambuie in the house :P

      Mike_West

What the hell is a Drambuie?

That and I'm partial to Southern Comfort anyway.

Have a look, it is a joke from a Brit 'comedy' called Bottom, it is just random *suitcase* :P

  2. I finally got my tommygun. Cue scat singing and trumpet/sax solos. And get me a fedora!

But I had to borrow that hat. I don't wear hats everyday.

Next time demand the hat as part payment :P

    4. Mike_West

      Mike_West

I could buy one for 12 quid, but since I don't wear them anyway, I considered it an unnecessary expense.

  3. I WILL PUNCH THE POSTMAN. Turned out that he "attempted delivery at 6:50PM on Friday, nobody was home, left a note" - BS, as I was home, and HE DIDN'T LEAVE A NOTE.

Still running an i7-950, 6GB RAM and 2x ATI 5870's - too poor to upgrade.

      hitmanNo2

bladerunner, I think you are confusing being poor with spending all your money on sweet airsoft guns ha ha.

      Mike_West

Doc, that's pretty much the config I'm aiming at. Just with a different video card.

Bladerunner - oh, certainly you can put two more gigabytes of RAM in that thing.

  5. Is there going to be a G&G CO2 WA2000 or did I misunderstand something?

      Wanted to buy a G&G WA2000. Then I heard " Plastic simulated wood "

      I am dissapoint.

      faramon

Oh ... I missed that bit .. now I am disappoint too.

    4. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Well, some guys from a local website were at IWA and talked to the G&G rep. Apparently after the spring version, there's supposed to be a woodkit and a CO2 version. Or so they said.

  6. I'm having a sick, wrong and weird idea involving a Well L96 stock and a WE M14 or a KJW 10-22.

I hope that's not in the way fireknife is thinking ;)

    4. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Well, pretty much I need a futuristic stock and a high-velocity semi-automatic mechanism. I want to build something like the sniper rifle from Deus Ex Human Revolution.

  7. So I just bought a RPD foregrip, maybe I'll buy an AK105 and turn it into a Chinese Assault Rifle from Fallout 3.

    3. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Not really much to do, I'll just put an AK74 flashhider and an AK47 magazine on it, mod that foregrip to actually allow aiming and make the stock out of copper tubing.

    4. faramon

      faramon

I think this is a good idea and agree unconditionally ;)

  8. Hmmm, a SR25 kitted out with a Magpul SPR stock, MOE foregrip and G27 pistol grip. Maybe with Magpul MBUS on top. Too bad I'm broke again.

      Mike_West

Yes, PRS. Haven't noticed the typo.

    3. TheFull9

      TheFull9

What would you use as the base? I'd love to put some mid-length MOEs on an SR-25, but if i went with the G&P it'd feel like an awful waste taking off the stock rail system (and probably barrel).

    4. Mike_West

      Mike_West

I thought about the JG SR25, it has a G27 pistol grip in stock. I think that you could still use the stock barrel, you'd just need a delta ring, a gas block and a short MOE rail to put the bipod on.

  9. But the good news is the stock is finally on its way, so maybe I'll have the Ruger fully assembled before the coming skirmish.

    3. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Yup. It's stuck in customs right now, but the barrel slipped through and I hope the stock will too.

    4. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Goddamn hell*fruitcage*. Stock ended up inspected by customs. 60 quid up the *albatross* in total. I could have a scope for that.

  10. I have an idea regarding the Wingun revolvers, but sadly, it's strictly theoretical. :(

New barrel assembly that allows you to install a hop-up. I thought of a CNC chamber with a forcing cone, VSR hop-up and TM pistol barrel, and a new outer barrel similar to the revolver from Blacklight: Retribution.

    3. paranoiddroid

      paranoiddroid

want!!! what would you need to do it?

    4. Mike_West

      Mike_West

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J0eGLzEI-8A/TDekh1wIUnI/AAAAAAAAAYw/ps9auGeI6DE/s1600/Revolver.jpg - this is the revolver from Blacklight. I would need some expertise with CAD to design the hop-up chamber and new outer barrel (move the spring from the front of the barrel to the end of the hop-up chamber and brace it inside the outer barrel). And I would need lots of money for that (you know, third-word Assholistan in Middle-Eastern Europe, boring underpaid deskjockey job, etc.).
  11. Hmmm, do I want to take a drill to a Denix sawn-off shotgun replica? and if I do, how illegal will it be? And, of course, will it accept Goblin airsoft/paintball shells anyway?

    1. renegadecow

      renegadecow

AFAIK the Denix models are non firing replicas, not even pfc's so making it to fire bbs shouldn't be illegal.

    2. PureSilver

      PureSilver

I'm with RC on this one. It's not a deactivated firearm so modifying it to fire BBs shouldn't be legally problematic.

    3. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Well, it's because a Denix sawn-off goes for just under eighty quid over here, as compared to over $250 (and shipping from HK) for a Wa Shan one. All I need to do is drilling through the faux firing pins to make them work and adjusting hammer springs so they don't *fruitcage* up the Goblin shells (which, IIRC, need just a gentle push).

  12. Smack me upside the head, I just had an idea of mating the HERA Glock Carbine kit with a Masada folding stock.

Oh. Someone already thought of this kind of solution:

      http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2010/06/11/fab-defense-kpos-review/

HERA kit just asks for a folding stock, it looks boring with solid one.

  13. Jeez, is airmail really sent out of HK only once a week?

    1. renegadecow

      renegadecow

I believe it's the usual daily routine. But some stores only ship certain days in the week to save on expenses.

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Well, actually the shop sent it on Monday and it took the post office a whole week to finally sort it and put it on a plane.

    3. SwatMP5man

      SwatMP5man

I'm shocked and surprised that stuff Ebairsoft posted arrived at my door 4 days later!

  14. Are the Chinese still making the MP7 AEP? I can't find it in stock anywhere.

    1. FireKnife

      FireKnife

Think it might have vanished along during the crackdown.

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

This makes me a sad panda.

  15. So, computer upgraded, now to think of some airsoft projects. Turn my Broomhandle Mauser into a variation of the PASAM submachine gun perhaps?

  16. Finally those ARSES from Customs released my Muzzelite. Took them TEN *fruitcage* DAYS.

    1. Leon Kennedy

      Leon Kennedy

:) Cheers. I'm going on day 14 of USPS shipping my AK a mere 200 miles.
    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

USPS actually did their job in this case, in three days the gun was delivered across the Atlantic. Then it got stuck in customs for almost exactly ten days (without forty minutes according to the tracking log). I hope I'll be able to pick it up tomorrow.

  17. Now that's a hard decision on "which *fruitcage*ed-up space gun do I want more": Muzzelite 10/22 or KOO Glock Carbine?

    1. TheFull9

      TheFull9

10/22, the KJW rifle itself is a great piece of airsoft weaponry.

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

As long as the mag seals don't blow, that is.

So, another ?150 and I'm building this *badgeress*. Hope Ehobbyasia doesn't screw me over on shipping costs.

    1. RSM

      RSM

Wouldn't that create a huge step between the outer barrels?

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Not sure, I think that extension is an inch in diameter or so, but there's no concrete info about it anywhere.

  18. OK, my Wingun is apparently getting loaded on the plane.

    1. faramon

      faramon

WinGun revolver Mike? If so which make and once you get it could you give me a nod on whether it is good?

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Sorry pal, it's Section 5. That thing can put out over 500 fps, although I'll have to borrow a chrono to get exact figures.

  19. Just shelled out 20 quid on four dummy M67 grenades. Can't be Rolento without grenades.

    1. FireKnife

      FireKnife

That ain't too bad, depends on the quality though too. :P

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Wooden body, painted OD, fuses taken from training models (still painted blue). Probably due to some dumb-*albatross* local regulation I don't know.

  20. http://static1.blip.pl/user_generated/update_pictures/1958777.jpg - THIS. I want to build this, but no, 5KU went under and CAW ain't making revolver launchers anymore either!
    1. TheFull9

      TheFull9

I think you'd need the biggest hands in the world in order to actually be able to reach the trigger. That aside...

      omg so damn keeeewl

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Well, I kinda suspect that the grip would have to be changed, but I made a little experiment - the picture uses parts of a M79 photo matched 1-to-1 by barrel size. I think I would be able to hold it as is.

  21. Muzzelite 10/22: not shur if I shud.

    1. bladerunner168

      bladerunner168

Is it your dream build as in you fantasized about owning it since the day you started Airsoft?

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

No, but I was thinking about it since November or so. Well, the worst that can happen is Muzzelite stock having *suitcasey* trigger pull, and in that case I start looking for a second-hand Well MB05 stock.

  22. I swear to God I saw an ACM extended outer barrel with integrated muzzle brake, but I can't find it anywhere. Am I going crazy or is it a real thing?

    1. hitmanNo2

      hitmanNo2

      For what gun?

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

It was an universal jobbie fitting the standard -14mm thread.

  23. Hogue OM stock is only 80 quid at MidwayUK. Now, who wants a slightly used Muzzelite stock for 10/22?

    1. huntER_HuntED

      huntER_HuntED

      get one in pink!

    2. Mike_West

      Mike_West

Nah, I can't afford the silver barrel, and it would look better with a pink stock. I'll probably end up with a broken MB05 and a dremel.

  24. ACM fullmetal springer M870 with short mag vs used DE UMP. Yes, it's really hard to decide.

    1. hwagan

      hwagan

      870. I just got one, and it's more fun than i can say with words.
