Bit more than I expected to be honest. Still about the same as a TM MP5A5 though.
MDK_Marshal
I'm currently going for a Brit SF Kind of look, as cheap as I can... Dessie DPM shirt (With the Sleeves rolled up, natch) - free (ish) Woodland DPM Trousers - ~£10 from flecktarn Assorted webbing - Clone PLCE pouches, Black MOLLE Mag pouches, '58 Pistol holster - About £40 overall Dessert Assault Vest - Free (Borroring it from a mate, if he'll let me) - May replace webbing Helmet with Dessie DPM cover - Free, borrowing it from above mate. And, of course, my pimped M4 - once I get it back and the parts appear from hong kong! I'm also going to do a simple afghani terrorist loadout, which will consist of... CYMA AK47 - £30 Jeans and T-shirt - free '58 ammo pouch and a canten pouch on an old '58 webbing belt. Maybe anbother pouch for pyro. ~£20 Simple and it'll do the job! Odly enough, I'm peicing together these because there's an afghani vs brit SF game at my local site next week. Does making two loadouts for one single game make me a geardo?
ColDaz
A geardo or someone who plans ahead and is willing to take on whichever role you need to. Or a geardo, ya know

Belladonna
Militant Naturist Army: clear Bolle goggles and err...your birthday suit Elbow and knee pads optional All (hot) girls should be conscripted into the MNA Think of all the money they'd save for shoes and handbags and girly stuff... And the distraction effect would mean that drooling male opponents would be a walk-over <{POST_SNAPBACK}> why is it always a man that suggests this? and trust me, you boys are a walkover without getting the twins out
Lord Blackgoat
That MNA loadout sounds funny, but... painful... And it has to be used during hot weather, to satisfy Belladona
Pyrodex
time to resurrect an old thread me-thinks! i hate gucci kit, especially US stuff, not a look i want to impersonate at all- ive never been a geardo, so naturally my typical loadout is: AK47 variant, chicom rig (holds 3 midcaps + 4 grenades) claymore bag (holds 8 more midcaps) DPM trousers, OD or DPM shirt, surplus german army boots. cost of all the kit minus gun and mags about £60. being able to run and hide alot easier than the geardos with pointless cr@p strapped all over them= priceless. Punkypink
all thats still well overgeared. i once went in a pair of black factory overalls (19 quid) with my generic pair of combat boots. Mp5k, and magazines stuffed into the overall pockets.
Pyrodex
yer but its not a light-weight loadout thread, its anti-gucci.... you want high-speed/low drag someone needs to post the pic of Mattbee at UCAP in the borat man-kini....
Punkypink
industrial overalls instead of proper combat ones is pretty anti-gucci, esp when its cheap as chips.
Pyrodex
i have to admit im trying to figure out a way to go skirmishing in overalls and a jason mask... all i need is a rubber machete or a chainsaw...
phaserrifle
all thats still well overgeared. i once went in a pair of black factory overalls (19 quid) with my generic pair of combat boots. Mp5k, and magazines stuffed into the overall pockets. in a simmilar vein, you can get navy blue boiler suits (simmilar to overalls, but with buttons instead of a zip) for under £8. Punkypink
in a simmilar vein, you can get navy blue boiler suits (simmilar to overalls, but with buttons instead of a zip) for under £8. But its blue! I want black, its more slimming.
phaserrifle
But its blue! I want black, its more slimming. ah. the slimming effects of different coulors. something that, as a male, I have absolutely no clue about what so ever. but, if black is more slimming, maybe you could dye them black? fabric dye's not that expensive IRRC

TheMerchantOfVenice
My Bourne-inspired CIA "Asset" loadout from a while back. All free, due to it being in my closet. Try to ignore the odd face bleeping out.
DanHS
A good US Spec Ops desert loadout can be done pretty inexpensively. It makes for a good early Op Enduring Freedom impression, which is kinda what I often like to do. You would need; -Tan BDUs, can usually be had for $50 a set at most surplus stores -OD green wool GI watch cap, $10 at most from surplus store -Nomex flight gloves, price depends on quality and source, can be had for $15-20 -OE Tech OD green chest rig, usually costs about $20 -Comfy boots, whatever you like to wear that provides good ankle support -Shemagh, usually $10-15 -box of MAG midcaps -AK variant, or M4 with a red dot Simple, low profile, and inexpensive, yet good looking and effective. I wear the same except I have a SPEAR fleece in CB, a Pantac chest rig, and a Serpa holster, and a couple extra pouches and Mechanix gloves. I need to get Blackhawk kneepads and a small hydration pack. You can start out with the basic loadout, and add stuff as you go. It never becomes some crazy thousand dollar + loadout, but it looks really nice and gets the job done very well.
The Waco Kid
Got to see this, pictures! Serious well it's pretty basic standard clothing. They do a black suit with shirt and tie for £25...... BG role anyone! Jeans or slacks + LS black T-shirt, Sweat shirt and man-bag and don't shave for two days. The Jack Bauer loadout done.
